good stuff! My gf in college had a ā91 (I think) 240SX with the 5-speed manual and she let me drive it all the time. Fun car, loved the rear wheel drive and relatively good torque from the larger 4 banger.
Yeah, we grew up in the golden age of Japanese imports in the 90ās. Lots of good times...
Optronix, I did have quite a few memories come flooding back at me installing air intakes on my old Del Sol, Prelude, and IS300 when I was putting on the intake on my ITS.
Iām 47 now and my last Honda was an ā05 S2000. I grew up with Hondas until I went Vette and trucks after college. Itās...
itās a 100% stock maf, why would it get an āimproperā maf signal? Maybe itās as simple as the car has enough bandwidth in its stock tune to allow a touch more boost with more airflow?!?!
Same here. PRL makes good stuff, but I'm loving my Armaspeed intake that showed up in a few days after ordering.
I have the throwback PRL strut bar still on order and who knows how much longer I'll be waiting.
I don't understand the mechanics of putting on an intake and the car reporting more boost (via boost gauge). It's anywhere from 1-3psi more at varying time.
Why would putting on an intake allow more boost? I'm not complaining as the car feels strong, but just curious.
Here is the video with...
The turbo spool and blowoff sounds make the $800 price worth it to me personally on my armaspeed. The CF enclosure and tube are just icing on the cake.
Also, check out my videos in my thread. I swear the car is making a little more boost for some reason with this intake. I'm an accountant...
You're likely not wrong. I use Waze almost every single time I drive and Waze is well aware of my "efficient" driving. :D If Google (who owns Waze) is or decides to sell my driving data, I'm f-ed there too. :D
This is major BS. I turned off "smart driver" on my 3 GM vehicles via the GM app as soon as I heard about this from a friend. My 3 GM vehicles are a 5 Blackwing I've had for over 2.5 years and I've done 180mph in that car several times. Other is my new C8 that I've luckily only had for a few...
Congrats, CK716! Not to beat a dead horse since you already bought your ITS, but it really is an amazing machine. As previously mentioned, I have a CT5-V Blackwing six-speed I got in August '21 as one of the 1st 250 reservation cars and I'm keeping it forever.
But, what is interesting to...
I only routed the maf sensor wiring and did that under an opening to the left and up to the maf. The wiring looks bent near the plug, but it's not under any stress or strain at all. That was the cleanest and easiest way I figured out to route it. I don't think any other sensors needed to be...
Got mine in this past Friday after ordering it on Tuesday! I love it so far. Great sounds and makes the ITS even more fun to drive. Install was easy besides me stripping the maf sensor screws (my fault for not using the right Torx bit) and dropping a 10mm socket down in the engine pan area...
