I'm tapped out money wise and going to Florida over the 4th of July is only going to keep me that way for the rest of summer. I'd really like to have a set of dedicated tires/wheels too. Next year I should have the car paid off and hopefully a new exhaust that is actually audible.
That was some nice driving and the track looked amazing. If the car and tires did fine in 92 degree Alabama heat, that's pretty impressive. Looks like so much fun, I'm definitely going to do at least one track event next year.
I don't know how far away you are but this is just gonna be an informal meet and greet for probably like 2 hours total so if you want to come that'd be awesome, but it's not worth making a big trip out of.
Damn, your Integra's gonna have more track miles on it than street miles. I didn't even know they had events like that in Charlotte but it looks like fun. I'm definitely interested in going there next year but I'm going down to Florida 4th of July week which will take my bank account down from...
I set the date for 7/13 and said we'd probably meet up around 8am, go for a little ride and grab some breakfast somewhere. Right now we've got mostly wake county guys plus you and hopefully @HappyKasper from Durham so Im thinking of meeting somewhere in wake county.
I just bumped the thread over at civicxi.com and it looks like a couple more FL5s are interested. I was thinking maybe 6/28 or 6/29 would be good days to try and do this. What do you think @StingertimeNC ?
Type S gets more of the kind of attention you want, and the Type R gets more of the kind you don't. I really like the FL5s looks but the ITS is just drop dead gorgeous, especially the front. Got to see one in my rear view mirror last week and I was like "Damn that's nice". I got to see my own...
We'll give it some time, I'm sure we'll find some more people.
I posted over at the Civic forum too https://www.civicxi.com/forum/threads/central-nc-its-ctr-meetup.53855/
I'm putting this here to see if anyone in the central NC area wants to have a little FL5/DE5 meet-up this summer. I figure we can pick a central location to meet up, then take our little convoy on a fun drive on some backroads and then grab some breakfast or lunch somewhere together. While it's...
I'm in Apex and he's lives in Durham so we're all pretty close by. Maybe I'll start a post over on the Civic forum and see if anyone else wants to set something up. It was fun driving the type S and I think he liked driving the type R. We even happened to get stuck next to each other at a red...
Nice to meet you Kasper. Seems like these cars attract good people. Glad we found out your transmission is fine and good luck with your upcoming track days.
We were talking for a bit after our test drive, and if anyone in the central NC area wants to have a little meet up some time I think we'd...
I've been thinking about getting a dashcam long before I bought my FL5. Hardwired, cloud connected. The sheer number of times I've had to react to avoid accidents in the past 5 years is mind boggling. The drivers are only getting worse, and from my limited travels it seems the area I live in has...
There are enough DE5/FL5/FK8 owners complaining about this that it must be either a real issue with a percentage of the transmissions, or be due to a specific shifting style of a percentage of drivers.
My FL5 has only "grinded" once when my timing was off between clutch and gear shift. Totally...
