  1. ITS Downforce Figures?

Agreed. The car is not nearly low enough, and the underside not smooth enough for any ground effects to be meaningful.
  2. Track Impressions with Integra Type S at SCCA Track Night @ Dominion Raceway

Nice work at VIR, Arry, you were moving. It was nice to meet you and to see your car. I did see a ABP on my last trip to Summit, but I don't think it got on track. I won't get mine on track until next year, I think.
  3. Clutch Damper Delete

I won't assert that I can confirm, but generally speaking these dampers increase clutch wear as they allow a bit more slip than without. So removing it could be a help. TBH I'm guessing it makes little difference in practice. It's a common mod on BMWs and it does make them better/easier to...
  4. Tire size

I did 255/35-19 on the stock rim and those barely cover the rim. I don't think 235 is going to work, you need to go down to an 8.5" wheel.
  5. Not so smooth shifting feeling

If it's getting worse every day then there's a decent chance it's a hydraulic issue - the master cylinder, the slave cylinder, or the line may be leaking. Make sure they check that.
  6. Type S Winter Wheels / Fitment Specs

Michelin has deleted most of the AS3+ sizes since the AS4 came out. We have the AS3+ on two other cars, and I just had to replace a rear pair. Had to go with the AS4.
  7. Tire size

I haven't tried that, but it looks to me like there is plenty of space, assuming the car is not lowered.
  8. Tire size

Can confirm, they fit. I am currently running that size (Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 4), and plan to use them until I finish the break in and then as my winter setup. (We don't get a lot of snow.). No issues with rubbing. The tires barely cover the rim and (obviously) they sit 5mm further back...
  9. Type S Winter Wheels / Fitment Specs

I wanted to use the stock rims, go as narrow as possible, and use the MPS A/S4.
  10. “If this car had hair, it would be a mullet.”

I think he's great. And I thought the review was overwhelmingly positive. Yes, it's for the WSJ reader, not the enthusiasts, but he makes things accessible and is generally pretty grounded and at least a little entertaining. If I had to explain this car to a non-car person I would probably...
  11. Type S Winter Wheels / Fitment Specs

I mounted Michelin MPS All-Season 4, size 255-35/19, on the stock wheels. No fitment issues. The tires are a bit stretched with the wheel width, and barely cover the rim, but it will work. If you're stuck with two sets of stock rims (like me), it's a workable option. YMMV, and maybe others...
  12. Type S Winter Wheels / Fitment Specs

I should clarify that the lack of protection I was describing is lateral - the tire barely covers the rim, and one has to be careful stacking them and with curbs. But I wanted the Michelins and I wanted to go as narrow as possible with that rim. I really didn't want to buy a third set of...
  13. Type S Winter Wheels / Fitment Specs

I just picked mine up, and I also have both the coppers (now with the stock tires) and the dark grays. I asked the dealer to mount Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4, size 255/35-19, which they did for about $1100. I have not had them on the car and won't until November, but I will say they do...
  14. Dealer has my deposit

Have you asked them for your money back? It's worth a try. In Virginia I know they can't keep your deposit, but I can't say for Ohio (or Michigan).
  15. Winter Tire Specs (Type S)

Right you are. There goes the easy option...
  16. Winter Tire Specs (Type S)

The whole thing is quite annoying. I'd like to be able to run the car in the winter, but we don't get too much snow in Virginia, and we have a couple Audis I can drive. But it's shocking how slim the choices are in the right size. I'm gonna risk doing the Michelin A/S in 245-35/19, since I'll...
  17. Winter Tire Specs (Type S)

I'm in the same camp. If you're sticking with stock wheels I think A/S will make more sense than snows. 245/35-19 should fit those wheels and only give a little bit larger rolling diameter than stock. There just aren't many options for snows in that size (maybe just the Pirelli P-Zero). I...
