There isn't currently a way to turn it off. The controller we put up by the mirror just has 2 wires (+12V and Ground). What you could potentially do is wire a switch up there inline with one of the wires going to that controller. You'd need to drill a hole for that switch and there'd have to be...
I've been meaning to reply to this for a while now but kept forgetting. FWIW, I think this issue might come from a combination of your car and hearing aids. I recently got a new hearing aid (Phonak Naida Link Marvel) and the transition is seamless (although not every time - sometimes it just...
Oh cool, they must have updated it! They are constantly making updates to their products - if you've been following the power folding mirror threads, they started off with a barebones kit that requires you to take apart the entire mirror assembly, and not they have a plug and play kit which ties...
It did! I've been rocking it for a few weeks now and loving the comfort in the cold. I've gotten a bit lazy and haven't found time to put together my video yet, but thanks for the reminder - I'll try it to do it sometime soon. Here's a picture for now:
That's quite impressive. I'm lucky to see much above 25 on highway drives (although I mostly have the engine in Sport+ for the sound). Was the road mostly flat for you, and you weren't drafting behind any semis?
I just looked at mine. Yours is definitely broken. Ask dealer for a replacement. You'll need a whole new cargo cover, and will possibly need to take off the grommet/panel it clips into so you can get out the rest of the broken piece if it's lodged in there.
The cover in first picture snaps in behind your shifter. Dealer was supposed to install this at PDI. Just feel around with your fingers and you'll find the spot where it should go.
Is the plastic cargo cover clip broken, or is the cover just not clipped on properly? How does it look on the...
If you're cross shopping between the ITS and CTR, I would recommend sitting in both if you have a chance. I went with the ITS for several reasons (heated seats, better sounding exhaust, HUD, more comfy suspension, nostalgia factor). Last week I had a chance to sit in an FL5 at the auto show and...
I came from a MK7 GTI which was a great car. I was also considering the MK8 R when it was announced, but the horrendous infotainment and steering wheel/climate touch controls was a dealbreaker for me. Watch some of the YouTube reviews (for example Throttle House) - it's a commonly talked about...
The explanation on their page says there's less wiring harness. F is for cars that already have BSI and heating, where C includes additional harness to support this.
I believe I remember reading in the manual that it needs to be at least on Accessory power. The feature is called TPMS with Fill Assist, if you're curious to search in the manual and confirm.
I believe the factory fills them to 40psi for transporting on the truck, and the dealer is supposed to bring it back to 35/33 at PDI.
Not sure whether or not you noticed this too, but I discovered a cool feature by accident when filling my tires when it was well below freezing out: if there's a...
Here's the picture they sent me after they finished making it.
It actually ended up coming in today. It feels a little bit thicker than the OEM wheel, kinda similar thickness to BMW wheels. The perforation doesn't feel as pronounced but the look is still there.
The wires for the heating...
I'm in the same boat where I want to keep the perforated leather and the red stitching (the US version only comes with black stitching). That's the only thing that had been holding me back from getting one. I reached out to Acura corporate as well as a few Canadian dealers, and no one has been...
Keep in mind some dealers will be A-holes and will try to find any excuse to not honor your warranty (for example, "you added an aftermarket spoiler so we won't replace your camshaft position sensor under warranty"). If that happens to you, find another dealer to work with.
Be sure to tell them you're from out of state to weed out any bad deals. For cars with high demand and lower supply, some dealers will only at MSRP sell locally. The idea is that local buyers will come back for service where out of state buyers would not. Might take a bit of calling around but...
Is it possible you're not pushing in the clutch all the way to the floor? For example I've heard things like Tuxmats can get in the way of it going all the way down. I tried this morning to start with the clutch pushed most of the way in (but not all the way) and the e-brake did not disengage...
This is straight from the owner's manual.
Reasons it wouldn't work (assuming everything else is working as it should):
- You're not buckled up
- You have VSA turned off
- You're not pushing the gas far enough when you're uphill
