  1. List of Honest Acura Dealerships For Type S (MSRP vs Markup List -- Integra Type S)

I was in orlando last week but didn't check any dealers ;) There are always regional allocations (FL/SoCal/TX) that can and will be higher, but the point still remains its a low volume model, only manual transmission: it will be hard to have leverage as a buyer to get it much under MSRP unless...
  2. Integra Type S driving Styles with Breakin Period

Certainly not trying to start JAOWOTI (just another oil war on the internet) but why spend so much more $ on a high PAO special blend product to use it for 5K? Just get some M1 EP and do your 5K with nice trips to Walmart (and just think of the extra people watching time at wally world). I've...
  3. Jack points and stands. for us Po' people

I never stated it was as fast or faster then driving up a pair of ramps full stop. My own experiences comparing both methods in my garage, its not much of difference. You spend 5min pooping, what's the big deal to setup a *better* more comfortable system, if that is what you are trying to...
  4. Sport+ mode

no effect. I'd be quite surprised if the stock ignition and fuel mapping is 93 vs 90 or 91. If I was the engineer, I would give it a 90 tune from the factory because: 1. More then a few US states don't carry > 91, so at that point you are relying on the ECM to detect a smidge of knock, and...
  5. Integra Type S driving Styles with Breakin Period

Nothing wrong with the OEM Honda filter. It’s your car but as stated 1k is overkill. factory fill has a decent amount of Moly but that’s also in assembly lube. The Honda oil is nothing remarkable Just a decent synthetic. my plan is 5k ish which should be about 1/2 the maintenance minder interval.
  6. Jack points and stands. for us Po' people

if you are changing oil with front ramps you also are jacking the rear end up to level the car. You may also want to use some side Jack stands for safety. this takes time. it’s a few minutes. Which is how long the quickjacks take. That’s all. but hey what do I know. I just have both...
  7. Jack points and stands. for us Po' people

~20 years using only jack stands on cars (including large stands where do the double jack stand trick for the bigger jobs). Without question, the quickjack I got a while back is worth the few minutes to setup if you have some room in your garage. I just keep them on the side of a wall on the...
  8. Sold!! None left.- OEM Graphite Type S wheels- $1,200 plus shipping, willing to sell by the each!!

48" piece of round glass and you have a designer coffee table. that'll show her....
  9. List of Honest Acura Dealerships For Type S (MSRP vs Markup List -- Integra Type S)

Market may be softening overall, with some more supply but its not a 5 car per lot model either. Shout out to Chris at Montgomeryville Acura (north of PHL in the burbs), they sell at MSRP, no add ons. The grey/red S is still there since Feb, I snagged my White just got lucky it came off the...
  10. Tips for stopping sunglasses from rattling

My linkmaster garage remote on the visor is driving me nuts...damn you honda and no homelink mirror :P The cloth/case trick for sunglasses is excellent.
  11. Oil comparaisons

when we see thumbnails like that we know its youtube click bait. :) His info-mercial style is very annoying, takes away from the data and experiment he's trying to represent which is OK but folks in this industry will also poke holes in the methodology. My engineering is not in materials or...
  12. Do I need to let my integra cool down after driving?

30s of nomal driving, idle, park done. Its not a Gen3 RX7 after all . I mean HKS will always take your money if you like :D
  13. ForeverCar’s ITS Journal

Looks like one of the colors from the classic Porsche commercial 'Colours', but I thinks that was 993 and not 964. Either way, I personally like a late 80s/90s 911 in a non standard color. Thats just a good looking car no matter how you slice it :)
  14. ForeverCar’s ITS Journal

Fun thread @ForeverCar, appreciate sharing your thoughts and pics of the new toy. Great spec on the T. I'm only 150 miles into the Type S (GS-R was my first car, from there wrenched/tracked all sorts of slow cars like it, Miata, WRX, 987 and now a 981 P car) and its pretty close to a perfect...
  15. Would you buy this ITS?

There are a few good consumer products out there, I went with Carpro UK 3.0 (and DLUX for wheel, Skin for PPF: could use the UK on PPF but they did design Skin specifically for it, so I splurged). Many detailer youtube channels, I would check out Pan the Organizer and Corey from Skys the...
  16. Would you buy this ITS?

What has you nervous about may I ask? You may not have the tools and I get that, but a basic DA machine, some pads, some product and a flashlight and you are in business. If you ever polished or waxed a car before, then you have the experience may need the proper product and a tad of patience...
  17. Would you buy this ITS?

Consider you can ceramic coat it *at any time*. You can also PPF it at any time, but you may end up with some chips that the PPF goes over if you decide 6 months from now. If $ is tight, I would not worry about coating the car now. JMHO. If you are not comfortable with detail work, nothing...
  18. Integra Type S driving Styles with Breakin Period

Acura has to deal with chuckle heads who redline cold engines and occasionally pop them -> warranty repairs. The language above is not the 11th commandment. It a round number (about 1K Kilometers). I'm not saying to flog it, but drive it like you would drive it anyway: apply mechanical empathy...
  19. Would you buy this ITS?

The paint in modern cars is soft...and Honda is no exception. I would consider PPF if you do any HWY driving (I do a lot of it, my old Alpine White 335d was sand blasted and BMW paint is 2x better). The plastic side skirts on our cars, coupled with gummy tires = instant chips. PPF the lower...
  20. Would you buy this ITS?

OP, nothing wrong with negotiating, but taking big swings on a single low volume car is likely to get you no where. They are not going to take 1K or more profit loss on this, just ain't happening. I wouldn't do it if it was me, and if *you* were in sales with this car and market you would not...
