I like this shade. Darker if you wish but dark cherry wine like this would complement your black exterior and not try to stand out in the spotlight. That’s what you’d likely want, subtle styling
subtle red accent mirrors would work with all exterior colors I think. Matches red S badges and red brake calipers. Alternatively, bronze/gold, ebony white, silver, blue accents could work as well.
it could work with many colors. My second choice for this car was performance red pearl. The Bronze wheels then I would do a slight bronze/gold mirror accent to match
it’s just vinyl afterall. Easily changed or removed :)
I don’t think it looks bad, I was considering it actually. In your pictures it’s a brighter red. I think if you found vinyl that’s dark cherry wine red it would look quite amazing; that would match the black Type S badges as those are a very dark red.
Red background is always a homage to the...
Been annoyed with the mirror carbon fiber caps for a few months as dealer installed them too low. Decided to rip them off then tried some ideas
figured this can be a subtle red accent as is present on other areas of the car. The CTR all red mirror caps on the JDM type R is a little much...
for me I first saw the ITS on raiti’s rides. The looks alone had me 90% sold. I can’t remember the last time a car caught my eye. Then to find out it would be a Type S derived from a proven platform it was a no brained.
after four months, I still enjoy driving manual with such a fun car. I’ve...
Most of the 0-60 times were done with VSA on I think? I do the pedal dance regularly but still have not dumped the clutch one time. Too cautious I suppose lol
Going wide open throttle in 1st I still haven’t gotten the best shift to 2nd yet ?‍♂️
Would it not be quite harmful to rev 4K and hard dump the clutch? I’d imagine so but not sure how much the ITS/CTR was built to handle it. Regardless probably a significant amount of mechanical stress on components
While this was true with older cars. Some water in the exhaust is normal; combination of condensation and natural combustion by product.
As the engine heats up or if driven the moisture will evaporate or burn off. After a number of rotations by the pistons, it would vacuum the water vapor...
Daily driving mine so I’ll be taking it through rough Colorado winter storms. However, I plan to wash the car weekly or biweekly as needed. By mid or end of season, the car will need to be on ramps with every under panel removed and washed down.
I’ll be using the winter spray ceramic under the...
I don’t recommend it. Oem tires have little to no grip in the snow. The only way to get around is if you don’t let momentum stop and know how to maneuver the car swinging around.
Get winter tires
You were absolutely right, satin PPF is amazing. Had a tough time choosing between matte ppf vs satin matte ppf. Yes there’s a difference, at least with HEXIS bodyfence there’s a straight matte version but the shop told me it would turn performance white pearl into paint primer white lol...
I saw some black inlay stickers on the A-spec. I asked the ppf shop if they could create colored PPF with a red “A” inlays into the Integra stamps. They did a phenomenal job custom making it . Definitely a personal preference thing if you prefer a more subtle look.
However, you can always...
Update: received the vehicle back from the body shop. They were able to repair the knife cuts by sanding down and sealing in the clear coat again.
Lines are still a bit visible but much more faint. We were able to avoid repainting entire panels and bumpers, and clear coat no longer exposed...
This is enticing. Heavier/stiffer feel while clicking into each gear is what I would want. I don’t intend to make the throws shorter; does this have a setting to retain the throw length of OEM?
I’ll bring up the warranty when picking up the vehicle this week. It’s a shop that courtesy Acura chose which happens to be a body shop that’s part of a Lincoln dealership.
I did pay MSRP plus a few accessories I was okay with purchasing since I was the first to buy an ITS from this dealer...
I did go with satin PPF. It’s HEXIS Bodyfence XS 8mil film with a bit of stretch and top hydrophobic layer.
When I get the car back and the car is still not up to par, I’m not entirely sure what options I should pursue at that point. The worst possible outcome would be paint that’s horribly...
I would say you’re spot on. Dealers can use cheap ppf and installers which they then flip for a much higher price when selling vehicles. It’s likely worked for a long time but perhaps not intentional to damage customer cars.
At this point I realize there won’t be a perfect fix, unless the shop...
