Just got a call from my service advisor. The high pressure fuel pump came in and was replaced. Yay! Upon starting the car, it was still throwing codes... Low pressure fuel pump issue.
...another week for them to get the part in... *sigh*
This issue happened to me today on my ITS. I was cruising on the freeway for over an hour. There was a shudder and warnings started flashing on the dash. I got to a rest area a few miles down the road and attempted to restart the car. It started extremely roughly, but it came back on - CEL and...
I was on the freeway today in my ITS and suddenly felt a shudder. I'd pretty much been driving steady state for an hour and a half with the cruise control on. The check engine light came on and all the driver aides shut off. Warnings started flashing on the cluster about emissions system issues...
I had an ND Miata for a few years. I loved that car for a lot of the reasons you cite. I could use all of the car in public roads and not be extremely worried of getting in trouble. Also, on tight, twisty back roads, I'm keeping up with cars that are much faster on paper, because the road...
By default, my HUD will only show information when there is a turn coming up. There is a setting where you can change the display. Iirc, the options are:
Off
Speed
Navigation (shows compass when nav not active)
Driver assist
It works for me with Google maps and Waze via Android Auto.
It all depends on what was implemented in the port and head unit. If the only capability is "data read," then the audio adapter (which is effectively a sound card) won't do anything.
It's worth a try to see if it'll do anything, but I highly doubt it since the head unit doesn't appear to be...
That adapter likely won't work, since it requires the USB side of the device to support audio input/output. The USB ports on vehicles typically only support digital data transfer and/or power. Even if you change the head unit input to USB, it will expect you're providing a USB storage device for...
Probably because it's the least use light in the entire car? Low use = use cheap part to get the job done = save a few cents per car.
I store my registration and insurance card in the driver-side vanity mirror of my car. ?
I finally listened to the entire episode yesterday while I was out running errands. It was a little weird listening to the driving portion while driving, since I'd hear the exhaust, engine, and noises from the recording that didn't line up with what I was feeling. There were a couple of times I...
I suspect it comes down to RWD vs. FWD platform. I had an ND Miata for a couple of years and that shifter felt great. It was sitting at the rear of the transmission assembly, directly interacting with the gears.
That's always going to feel better than a shifter with cable linkage, as the...
I'm probably misremembering from the test drive from when the car launched. I thought that was one of the random things it got that was in the Canadian version of the Si that was stripped out of the US-market car.
Looking back at videos of test drives, I don't see them. ?
I assume pulling the...
My first "mod" was an Overland Designs Alcantara-wrapped center console because piano black is yucky. I also added a set of OEM splash guards. My next "mod" is going to be a Homelink-equipped mirror. I just got the part in and dismantled it. Will be swapping it into the car this weekend.
I'm...
I don't know if a TypeS gets more attention than a TypeR necessarily. I feel like both will get plenty of attention from car enthusiasts (if you know, you know), but fly under the radar of the average person. The TypeR stands out due to the wing, but a normal person would just think it's a...
