Got an email from Dan at apex, nice dude, super in-depth, trying to figure out resolutions for the wheel issue, he said apex is in the process of revising the knurling on the sprint line, we have not come up with a solution to my issue yet as I do not plan on going to a different brand of tires...
I did reach out to apex on this very subject, I’m not sure what they can do other then put a disclaimer on their website for Michelins, truthfully, this whole thing has ruined my experience with the wheels and I really have buyers remorse, I will update when they reach out to me.
I have messaged them on IG to ask for the Vegas stop and nobody has got back to me...need a clone ECU too but waiting for them to confirm if they can do it and what they charge.
You won't see any gains from this, I was more worried about the fmic because I live in a hot climate and thought it would be good to get ahead of the heat thats coming this summer.
Might be a dumb question but can dealerships even tell if it's flashed or not? If I ever needed warranty work couldn't I just put the tune to stock and take it in?
Man, I’m reading all this and I’m finally vindicated.
I fought with the tire installer, thought one of my wheels was bent, had issues for the first couple weeks to the point where I had buyers remorse with the vs-5rs, still have a bit of resentment and have been wanting to trade or sell mine...
I ordered from evasive motorsports, it’s the same ones for the FL5, the drop is mild, .75” in the front and .6” in the rear.
finally got around to getting the apex wheels mounted and a quick wash for the meet I’m heading to tonight.
Just installed the H&R springs yesterday, the car feels great, if you're looking to lower but don't want to sacrifice great ride quality then I think these are right on the money.
Updating on this mount, installed it today and I can wholeheartedly say that this is the best $180 I've spent on the car so far, why didn't it come like this from the factory?!
Yes! Had a 2005 Dodge Ram 2500 with a cummins and a 6 speed manual, drove that thing for 13 years and sold it to family, the mid-life crisis is real, do it, you won't regret it.
