Well it is still in the works so I can’t share much details. But what we are planning is a visit for tuning but also try to make it an event for all type R, Type S, 1.5t owners that just want to say hi, meet and greet and another small thing that I am working on but won’t share yet.
So the process is very simple and painless. I have tuned anything from a stock car to cars with extreme mods and built engines. So I only do what the customer wants.
All of your priorities will be met with the tune, just to avoid a mega long answer explaining every little detail. I am known for...
So after talking with @PrecordFK7 I have decided to do a little list of things I recommend. This only applies to DE5 and FL5. FK8 requires other things and 1.5L guys your mods are a little different.
1. Tuning software: Hondata
2. Intake: any that you like or drop in filter.
3. Downpipe: any...
It has been raining non stop here in my area so have not been able to test anything yet. And still have to clear the tank to start with e10 93oct. But hopefully it will move along quick.
For the 1.5T depends on the goals just like the 2.0T.
But a similar approach is applicable, as long as you’re maximizing ease of airflow into and out of the engine you will see gains. But the single biggest mod will always be tuning. Hope this helps!
It is installed and working flawlessly so far. It will be time consuming to tune since I have to adjust all the tables since the base settings are for a Hondata OTS tune.
This is the beauty of the CanFlex kit. It requires no map switching. The car will self adjust to the programmed settings on the ethanol tables. Essentially acting like on the fly map switching.
You still have access to the regular map switching but in my opinion it is even more convenient on...
The only thing to add to what @koatic said is that it really depends on the dyno that you use since they all read a little different. Never get too hung up with numbers.
Best practice is to get a baseline on the dyno that you are going to use and then upload the new tune, do adaptive learning...
In my opinion the 4th and 5th mod would be high pressure fuel pump and a canflex unit. You can run ethanol at higher levels and make a ton more power.
There is a difference between 93 and 91 oct. these cars like high octane since the engine is very sensitive to noises. And it pulls back timing...
