It happens. I took photos before I disassembled. You go through the pin side ,there's a slot. I used a sewing needle to go in and pull that tab out

Im assuming you did this with the battery unplugged.. sensitive parts including the air bag. Its also crucial the steering wheel was straight before removing and you reinstalled the clockspring in the same orientation. All you can try is disassemble and check connections.

You would need to yake it in for alignment to fix it.
