Thanks. I will miss the Z a lot. It was a platform on another level and the pace it could do put a lot of cars with twice the power to shame. I want another one at some point... Or a fully built cayman with the H6.
Oh boy, I think 99% of the civic community and 90% of this community would hate...
Well, the accessport and ecu came back in and I tuned the car. It definitely no longer hangs above 5500rpm like it does stock. It's accelerating faster above 3k rpm and feels identical to stock below 3k, which is what I was looking for. Throttle mapping is much better as well.
It's not blow the...
Oh I'll play this game.
Goto mods in this order for me,
Alignment to zero toe and max out neg camber front
Brake fluid
Brake pads
Driver seat time
Tires
Driver seat time
Repeat last two until you're bored or broke
I also just ordered some potenza race tires as the "drive to track and then drive on it" tire for the its. I haven't tried these before so I'm looking forward to it! Tirerack has them cheap right now!
I've installed them. This car didn't come with any factory puddle light, so installing a projector is basically drilling into it like the instructions from above say. Thankfully it's also marked inside the plastic on the door, so you can't miss it.
The factory projectors are not super bright...
You're not wrong! Once I put some insulating sound deadening foam in the doors that helped a lot as well.
My issue is that when I put the ac on full blast I end up freezing out my wife and myself before the back gets cool enough. The tint helps a ton as well. If my wife starts to get cold she...
Without leather to fry you from the rear I don't even mind the lack of cooled seats. With tint on I wouldn't even use it.
Now the lack of rear seat venting... Stupid oversight in this decade for the only 4 door manual that can comfortably stuff a rear facing kid seat in back (and yes I'm...
Agreed. Mine is just the shiny black plastic from factory and I avoid touching it to keep it from scratching when it gets dusty. Mine is entirely scratch free and I have zero need to touch it.
Mostly agree, however, he's been really good about keeping them retracted. Occasionally I find paw prints on the hood and roof, and sometimes I'm out in the driveway or cul-de-sac and he's just watching from the roof off the car. No scratches that I've found, but those areas are also PPFd on my...
I've got a cat and a recent mouse problem too. Bro pulls bunnies like it's no biggie, but let's the mice slide... Sweet little asshole.
Here he is today with the Easter bunny in his mouth... Really messed with my 5yo who told me he "saw the cat trying to take the skin off and eat the bunny...
Yeah, you could. I'd make the dealer do it personally because it's a Honda issue for the last 10+ years and I believe in voicing problems so they're forced to fix it longer term.
You have to pull the airbag, steering wheel, and part of the plastic assembly to get to the cable reel.
I had the creaky/ticking steering wheel. Mine only occurred when the wheel was unwinding after turning right and sometimes left.
Dealer fixed it, but I had the oem Alcantara wheel that I installed myself. It was the cable reel that went bad.
True for many states with inspections. In my state a chip or crack in your windshield in line of site automatically fails you. Wipers with cracked rubber too.
Chances are in an accident insurance will deny you coverage for removing airbags as well.
My dealer sold me a wheel, tire, and windshield warranty for 600$. So far used it for one nail to get a new tire. I'm hoping I get 2 nails every year at this point ?
