mine were installed backwards so they were easier to push into the body of the liftgate, rather than pull out. I ended up taking apart the trim panels to the liftgate and found both of them.

Thanks it’s all on the “outer lip” this was after a storm today. I also park on a steep driveway front of car pointing down. I’m sure that doesn’t help the issue.

I figure the shifter is one thing I touch and use every time I drive. Very rewarding once you dial it in.
