Could be. Although outside of paint mismatch (which is a recurring problem across multiple brands, not just models), I haven't heard anything about fit issues on non-demo vehicles. It's a theory here on the forums that the bumper fit issues comes from dealer installation (illuminated/black...
As per my earlier post, I can see the remote lock/unlock for some use cases, although I still get the feeling that it's a "use it because it exists" and not a "need this to exist" feature. Maybe I'm wrong.
Precondition and remote start aren't available for the Type S, because Remote Start is...
Actually, in my post I was addressing AcuraLink in general. But I don't believe the Type S has Remote features, including lock and unlock, unless someone who has already taken delivery can confirm otherwise? I tried with the VIN from the other post about the first "second-hand" Type S, this is...
The brake hold can be used to hold the brakes for you at long traffic lights, railroad crossings etc. when it's long enough to be annoying but not long enough to acitvate the e-brake or shut off the car. I tend to use it at the drive-thru, as I can fumble around for loose change like an idiot...
I mean not everyone has the same use case as me, but this is how I view the different features:
Vehicle Services:
Digital owner's manual is nice but it's not the end of the world if I don't have access to it. The alternative is a PDF, or God-forbid, a paper copy.
Maintenance Minder messages are...
It's funny cause I've used AcuraLink a total of 1 time in the last 12,000 km on my A-Spec. This was when I first took delivery and didn't set up walk-away lock yet. Forgot to lock the car and did it from the office. Never used it again, forgot I even had it installed.
Hard to say what colour would fall off though.
Black/White are untouchable, and Silver is the "base" colour, so unless they bake the Pearl paint pricing into the original MSRP, they can't really remove that. LCM maybe but it's a fairly popular colour, same for Apex Blue since it's in such high...
Meh, it's not just Acura. BMW was horrible for my last delivery. Put down deposit in January, with an estimated delivery date end Feb/mid March. End of March rolls around, no update from BMW (dealer has no updates). Last week of April, get a notice that BMW in Germany has notified the dealership...
Yeah I disagree about leases always being a bad idea. Also about it being a guaranteed lock-in. I've terminated every single lease I've ever had early. Granted, it was to get a new car, and the salesperson was more than happy to not only forgive the extra mileage + termination fees, but also get...
I've been having this issue on and off (longest streak of not having issues just ended yesterday, ~4 months).
Setting the phone to priority seemed to help, as it's specifically a setting that auto-connects Android Auto.
Other than that, I'm not sure. I've had the same issue now in the BMW with...
Hopefully came with a full tank of gas too. Would you believe it I took delivery of a Lincoln Navigator with 26km left in the tank...
You'd think buying a 100k+ car they would give you enough gas to drive home.
I suppose with the forced addons and protection packages it's a good consolation. Although, had you not wanted the addons, 7k would mean two dealer oil changes (@ $200, let's say) for 18 years. Yikes.
Edit: Yeah it's a dealer-specific thing. This definitely doesn't happen at the 3-4 dealers...
That's basically the gist of it. The allocations for 2023 are definitely gone, and unless a whole slew of people cancel, it'll basically be next year for sure.
That's exactly me. I already have the A-Spec so I know what the interior looks like (obviously some colour and trim differences, but the location of everything is the same). Apart from the power, sound, and some slight dimension differences, I don't think I'll be ridiculously shocked by anything...
Honestly I think he was just trying to sweeten the deal because the dealer network fumbled the ball on my other car's delivery (took 6 months instead of 1, and then spent 3 weeks transiting from Halifax to Vaughan to Aurora...). Also, I'm more likely than not getting another vehicle with them...
Yeah the rates aren't very flexible unless you can qualify for discounts, which is really on a case by case basis. Loyalty is obviously the easiest, if you're coming from an existing Acura. That *may* also apply if you're coming from a vehicle purchased in the same dealer network, but YMMV. I...
