  1. DIY short hood struts just like WOT, but like 1/3 the price

Wow! That's awesome. To late for me, I bought the WOT kit and installed last year. Nice to know if either strut goes bad, we can get individual replacement parts.
  2. Does this look ready to re clear?

Sand as little as possible. Trying to avoid scraping down to the carbon fibers. When a fiber is cut it will fray, lifting up making it impossible to get a smooth surface.
  3. Replace rotors or not? Two track weekends and 12.5k total miles

12.5k miles is not much. Rotors dont wear like pads when run hard. If they are not pulsating and thickness is still greater than minimum spec. I would keep using them. No need in waisting money.
  4. People sucks!

Wow that sucks. Sorry to see that. Surprised they tried to break into the car like that, it is an old school method. They couldn't steal the car itself, there must have been something inside the car they wanted. Get some paint on there immediately, the exposed metal will turn to rust in about...
  5. PRL issues

It's the street maf. Several other members mentioned their stft were off after a PRL intake install (both the cobra and the HVI), but nobody actually measured the maf diameter or ran quarter mile runs. I ran 3 runs on two different days and they were consistently about 0.4sec slower. I...
  6. PRL issues

I'm having issues contacting them as well. I installed the PRL Cobra intake on my 1.5L turbo. My quarter mile came out slower! Checked the data log, stft always far lean (right before it would trigger a CEL). I measured the dimensions of the stock and Mishimoto intake maf housings both 61mm, but...
  7. What are the chances of hydrolocking a CAI?

I had a 91 CRX Si and my buddy had a Mazda 3, both with cai down low like the PRL Cobra. We both blew an engine (separate flooded storms) due to hydro locking. Sounded like a shot gun blast and then metal clanking everywhere. I actually made it to a friend's house nearby on three cylinders...
  8. First Time Tuner

You can reset back to factory but the ECU will show that it was tuned. The dealer will void the power train warranty if they check on their scanner. There is no way to undo or hide it from them. Yes you want a Ktuner for the 1.5t, Hondata is better for the Type S. Ktuner V1.2 and V2.0 will do...
  9. Break System light on after checking fuses

Did you try clearing the ECU codes? A lot of the times the ECU triggers a code just by simply unplugging and plugging things in. It's only an issue if the code comes back after you clear/reset the system.
  10. Seats + sunscreen

Are you driving naked?!? 🤣 Put shorts and a shirt on so your skin is not touching the seats.
  11. Track day question - stock pads?

Like Victorofhavoc mentioned, change the brake fluid ASAP. You'll want a quality fluid to prevent the pedal from going to the floor if the brakes overheat. You'll also want to have it changed out early in case air gets in the line and to let the new fluid intermingle. If you'll be on a track...
  12. Any Sensor Recalibration Needed after PPF Install?

The only sensor that needs to be adjusted are your eyes for that fancy looking wrap. The shop is covering their butts for legal purposes. As long as everything mounts back up the same way, it'll be good. The only sensor that is very sensitive is the one attached to the windshield. Since they...
  13. Alignment after H&R lowering springs...Thinking of getting ball joints and camber arms rear.

When you lower the car, all four corners would get even more negative camber. If the front is at -2 already you're going to get something like -3.... You want even more!?! Wait until after lowering and then get an alignment to know what/if you need/want to get adjustable camber arms...
  14. Any Tips for Tuning a 23 Integra CVT?

2 days ago I installed an MAPerformance downpipe. I was expecting the exhaust tone to change based on other members experiences but other than a very very low base tone on start up and idle I don't hear any change while driving. I might also be partially deaf since i'm 45 and have been tuning...
  15. RSR Best*I Active Controller... will it work with spec tech?

So the OP is more informed about suspension parts swapping. The rear suspension parts are mostly interchangeable but the front is not. The type S (just like the civic type R) has a completely different front end geometry and parts compared to the 1.5L Integras and civics. The front control...
  16. Any Tips for Tuning a 23 Integra CVT?

You have a mix of correct and incorrect information. Torque is not the same as towing capacity. Search civic / integra CVT tuning torque limit and you'll find it's common knowledge that our cvt belt will slip at 260ft*lbs, most tuners limit it at 250 for some safety. Yes the manual clutch can't...
  17. Any Tips for Tuning a 23 Integra CVT?

The Cvt can not go past 250ft*lbs of torque. This engine with addons and tune can spike at that around 4.5K rpm. Make sure to tell the tuner that it is for a cvt, so they can turn down the midrange slightly. Also fuel upgrades are not needed since the OEM are good enough for any torque/hp that...
  18. Wheel weight, is it that important?

As others have mentioned, and from my own experiences. Yes, the science is correct and it does make a difference, BUT it is a VERY small difference. For it to be noticeable, the weight change has to be very large. I.e. comparing a 40lbs to 30lbs wheel is not perceivable. I always think it's...
  19. PRL Drop-in Turbo for the 1.5T

Doesn't say anything about available tune. Do they have one readily available? Pay extra for it? Do they have a tune for cvt? Or will we all have to find our own custom tuner?
  20. Check engine light question

Yes, engine lights will pop when disconnecting and reconnecting sensors and battery. The newer Honda systems are very temperamental. If you have an OBD2 scanner you can force clear the programming or it will usually clear up after several longish drives.
