I’m wondering if that was just based on forecasted demand, saying “we’re producing 2k/yr because that’s what we’re forecasting we’ll sell”?
The PMC TLX was limited to 300 cars.
I haven’t heard of any production limits on the MDX Type S.
No official word, but other Type S models (TLX, MDX) are not limited in production volume.
Only the PMC edition of the TLX Type S is a limited edition vehicle.
Yes, I know there’s software out there that allows you to control/modify a lot of the electrical features of the car for VW/Audi
I’m not aware of there ever being something like that for Honda vehicles though. FlashPro/K-Tuner have solely been for ECU-modifying. I’d like it if there were...
Yeah, that’s part of the appeal of buying one.
Not only is it a very fun and practical car to use today as a daily driver, but in 10-15 years, I suspect clean versions will be worth a good amount of money (not more than the new price, but not nearly as affected by depreciation as a “normal” car...
Unfortunately, I don’t think it’s as easy as swapping a gauge cluster over.
What software is the CTR gauge cluster running to get those graphics?Would the ITS probe/query the right sensors to pull all of the temperature information that is shown on the CTR cluster?
I’d be shocked if the...
In the short term, it’ll hod its value much better than the normal Integra (just like how the TLX Type S has held its value better than the TLX A-Spec).
In the long run, I think it will do quite well. It’s likely the last performance, manual transmission Acura will make. Just look at prices on...
I’m hoping there are bolts on a flange that can be removed, rather than needing to cut it off.
Not sure how the FL5 is set up, I imagine the ITS will be nearly identical as far as the layout is concerned, despite Acura’s claims of it being an “entirely new exhaust”
In your post you said if the exhaust was tied to stiff steering and suspension it would be a deal breaker.
You can set the steering and suspension to comfort, and the engine (and exhaust) to sport, which is exactly what you wanted.
Do you just want to drive around with everything in comfort...
The seats definitely are different than those in the TLX.
My biggest gripe with the TLX (all models) is that there are usability compromises made in the design. The back seat is nearly 3” smaller than the Integra. The trunk opening is fairly narrow height-wise, which means you may not be able...
Agreed, nothing is more gross than a 3 year old suede steering wheel that is now smooth. Fortunately, this should only be an option, with the perforated leather being the standard wheel.
It looks like the wheel is the same as the regular Integra, right? If so, I wonder if it’s possible to...
I actually like these seats more than the regular Integra, because the suede is black (easier to keep clean, will show less wear than colored suede), and the boosters are the colored “leather”, which is easier to keep clean since you can coat them to protect against color transfer, easier clean...
Looking at the photos C&D has online, the seats do appear different than those in the normal Integra. The bolstering looks more prominent (C&D said there is more bolstering), and the design is different as well.
A Performance Red Pearl with the Orchid/Black seats would pretty good IMO.
Understandable.
Damn, that’s a bummer. With the ITS supposedly not being as “track focused” as the Actr, it would’ve been great to see them make small usability improvements like making it a 5 seater instead of a 4.
Question to the people lamenting the fact that it’s a 4 seater rather than a 5 seater:
Why? Do you have 3 kids where you use all 3 seats normally? I’m genuinely curious, because I can’t recall the the last time I used the middle seat in the rear, but it’s obvious that there are people that seem...
The TLX Type-S doesn’t have fog lights either.
On the TLX, there’s extra cooling behind the front bumper where the dog lighted are on the lower models.
Honestly, with the LED headlights the fogs are more aesthetic than functional.
