Yeah, if that is the only color accent on the console/dash, they should’ve just made it black IMO so it blends in to the dash.
I also see the first mod I’d have to do is pulling off the piano black console trim and wrap it in vinyl.
I hate piano I black trim…
I’ve gotta say, that random colored trim piece on the passenger side looks weird/out of place. There’s no other red on the console/dash except for that piece.
It also looks like only the front seats get the suede insert, the back seats are full faux leather?
Yes, it’s Exterior/Interior, so White/Black would be the Pearl White exterior, and Ebony black interior.
I’m a bit bummed I can’t get the Orchid interior with the Performance Red Pearl exterior, but the black interior is what I have now in my TLX and it’s fine. I love the PRP exterior though.
I asked him what the three different background colors meant.
Still waiting to hear back from him, but if I had to guess, it would be what you said, a staggered launch.
I believe they did this with the base Integra when it launched last year, no?
I’d argue that the ITS still isn’t loud. It’s just that the CTR is overly quiet.
Why Honda did that, who knows. The FK8 was the same way. The good news is that there will be a plethora of exhausts on be market for the FL5, so you can get something as loud or quiet as you want.
It’ll be plastic, with an Electroplated metal finish on it.
There are a few interior pieces like this on my TLX. It’s a good quality finish, looks much better than a trim piece painted with metallic paint.
You would transfer over the Type S trim, just like you transfer over the trim on the normal heated steering wheel swap.
There’s a step in the install guide that covers this.
Having owned my TLX for 6 months, and driven it in a variety of lighting conditions, I haven’t had any issues with the visibility of the gauges during the day.
The bonus is that at night, they look killer (especially with the red ambient lighting).
Also, you can set the digital screen to...
Looking at the shading/discrepancy in the color, this is just a photoshop of the official photo of the blue car in profile.
Having said that,Acura said the Type-S would have 7 colors in the USA (white, black, silver, liquid carbon, blue, red, and tiger eye). The red is apparently not available...
Regarding the gauges, unless a company is doing what Audi does with their digital cockpit, I much prefer analog gauges over digital.
The analog gauges in my 21 TLX are great (silver face with red numbering/dials), and there’s a 7” digital screen in between them to show you all of the other...
So what are people’s thoughts on the likelihood that you can install the heated steering wheel from the base Integra on the Type S?
Looking at the Honda install guide, you have to swap out the clock spring on the steering column and they give you a new wiring harness to install.
I’ve really...
Not an Integra, but I bought a TLX A-Spec back in October. I wanted to hold out for the ITS, but my car was starting to have some issues, and I figured I’d capitalize on trade in while values were still pretty high. Fortunately it was a CPO, so $8k less than new, so if I trade it in for an ITS...
