So I took my car in on Saturday to get an issue I've been having for the past 2-3 months looked at. Pretty much when you put the car into gear (drive or reverse) and let go of the brakes, you could hear this really low creaking noise happen going straight and when turning the wheel, but only when the car is in motion.
Just talked with the service advisor today and they're telling me it's the steering gearbox.
This is surprising, because the steering rack too was replaced under warranty late last year before the recall was announced. And then I noticed the sticky steering come back earlier this year after replacing and took it back for the official recall they had for the greasing too.
So now they have to replace it again, which I think is absurd. Now I have to worry about if they will grease whatever they need to, and if the issue will come back after a couple months.
Anyone else have issues like this? It makes me want to trade this car in for something else.
