When I owned a 2019 RDX A-Spec I found this seat bottom extender on Amazon or EBay….I can’t recall, so I tried it on my A-Spec Integra and am leaving it in. A couple of reasons: Living in the desert, hydration is crucial so I carry a good sized jug (Buzio) and it fits great between my legs while I drive…too big for the console. When I was vacuuming my interior I noticed a wet spot on the seat where I put the container and never having dealt with the upholstery in the A-Spec I recalled that I had this extender in the trunk.
I also have short legs for a guy who is 6’4”, they are longer than the seat bottom. Back in a former life I had a set of Recaro seats in my old 1976 Ford Capri S and they had this thigh extender.
This unit is secured without any alterations. On the seat bottom there are 2 plastic disks that are passed between the seat bottom and seat back and the elastic on the extender allows them to “stand up” thereby securing the bottom of the seat at the back. There are also a coupler of elastic pieces with metal hoots on them and I attached these to the anchor points on the seat. It stays in place and I do my reverse contortion dance to exit the vehicle.
Makes my drive even more incredible! God bless you all and Nerry Christmas!
