I tired this on a test drive of a 6 speed.

  • Engine running, car in neutral
  • Press and hold brake pedal
  • Press and hold VSA button until it beeps
  • Press and hold VSA button until it beeps
  • Engage e-brake and foot off brake pedal
  • Press and hold VSA button until it beeps
  • Press and hold VSA button until it beeps
  • Keep the e-brake engaged and press and hold brake pedal
  • Press and hold VSA button until it beeps
  • Press and hold VSA button until it beeps
At this point a message comes up on the driver information area inside the speedometer which says “traction control disabled”

To reset to normal mode you need to turn off the engine and restart the car.

Civic Si owners who autocross are very familiar with it. It is known as “The Pedal Dance”. It works on Honda and Acura products.
