Hey,

I’m new to the forum and looking for thoughts regarding the Flashpro. I drive a ‘24 Aspec Tec MT and am considering buying it and was wondering if anyone has any input regarding their experience with it and whether or now there were any power train issues.

It works fine. If your not going to get a Type S I would recommend a used Ktuner since you can pick them up at a discount. I ran phearable 1.5R tune on my Ktuner and it really made a difference.

Does anyone know if the Hondata is plug and play meaning will it automatically increase the HP or will I need to do something on my end?
How much HP will it add? I’ve seen anywhere from 4 to 25.
Lastly does anyone know of it voids the power train warranty?

Look at the screenshot above your post for HP numbers. Hondata and ktuner come with a base tune. I would recommend either a custome tune or a can tune.

Custom tune. Visit a shop that has a Dyno and get a tune.
Can or off the shelf tune. Phearable has has a great tune for the 1.5T

I was wondering what the difference is between the Ktuner you recommended above and the Ktuner Flash V2 Touch

I was also wondering what it does to the engine? And will it strain any of the components by increasing the hp? I know nothing about cars which is why I’m asking. TIA

Theres always a risk. It performs well and from my experience the weak point is the clutch. Phearable 1.5r was the most bang for the buck and if you want more power it will require a clutch.
FYI. I ran this tune for 20k miles of fun.

I’m thinking about getting a Ktuner but I just a couple questions I was hoping you all could help me with.

I don’t know much about cars but my assumption is that if the engine is designed for 200hp that increasing that would strain the engine or some of its components. How does that not happen?

Does increasing the HP put any strain on the power train/transmission?

Also, I read someplace else that it can also wear on the clutch, has anyone else had any experience with that?

Last thing, i understand it comes with three preset changes that increase the HP, is it better on the car to increase HP gradually?

Just want to make sure I won’t be messing up my engine by getting it tuned.
