Hey there I just purchased a rebuilt Integra and within a few days the left drivers side headlamp assembly stopped working (blinker, running lights, etc). I have power at the plug and my research suggests it’s the unit. The seller repaired the car with a used one from a salvage yard. It’s odd to me that it worked when I took the vehicle but with a few days failed? Are the LED modules sensitive to something or is this more a coincidence? It’s a 2024 base model.

Would appreciate some feedback.
Best, Joe

Honestly your best bet would be take the car back to them if you have any kind of warranty and see what they say.

If you're completely SOL going that route then the first thing I would do is try and scan the car and see if it has any codes from any of the various control modules. (These don't always turn on the check engine light but make sure the scanner can can actually scan the whole car. Some of the cheaper scanners can only see engine related codes that usually start with P) If it does it might help narrow down what's causing the issue, cause believe it or not there's a control module in each headlight. Below are some of the codes you might be looking for.

Here is some of the wiring info. Turn signal wiring is on a separate drawing for some reason but it's a single wire from the BCM.

As far as likelihood of a failure it's impossible to say for sure. I'm assuming it was front end damage of some sort so it opens up a whole new can of worms.

It's possible that some of the wiring got damaged from whatever caused them to rebuild it. It's also possible when they rebuilt it some of the wiring got pinched or was routed incorrectly causing it to rub on a sharp corner for example. It may have been fine initially but after a few miles of driving and vibration a wire broke. I'm not sure what lights would turn on or not if for example one of the communications lines is broken and it can't talk to the rest of the car.

You also got to take into account that the replacement they sourced likely came off a car that was totaled for one reason or another. It may be fine cosmetically but was there internal damage to the control module from a crash or water, did it get dropped during transport etc...

If you end up having a code and can't find any info on it dm me and I can try and give you more specifics on it.

Best of luck

Amazing thank you for taking the time to help me t/s the car. I greatly appreciate it. I’ll get into working it albeit a little work travel getting in the way. I’ll report back with how I get it corrected. All the best!
