Update! Intercooler and charge pipes have been installed, no issues so far. Also installed the WOT cooling plate! And she also got some new shoes and rubber this weekend;)

I agree with if you are not tuning or tracking. I don’t really see my self tracking since it is my daily. I would maybe track once twice a year. But I am tuned and getting ready for turbo and fueling. So targeting about 500-550 hp so that’s why I’m not as hesitant to upgrade now hehe

Thanks for the input, I have already ordered the PRL kit, so I will see how that goes and worse come to worse I will swap out for something lighter, hoping with a tune and turbo the throttle response will be better if not resolved. Will keep you all posted!

Thank you for the input and first hand experience! Curious what IC did you end up going with and also curious if you were tuned and still experienced the throttle response issue? I am in the same boat with dps, inlet, intake and front pipe and exhaust. The turbos and fueling would be next for me...

The events that led that to the intercooler damage are prolly contributed to me driving it all year round and living in the Midwest with salt trucks are where most of my chip/dent damages come from. Also not a fan of slow drivers in the fast lane if you know what I mean lol. And I agree with you...

For me, it partly because I want to push more power and the aesthetics is definitely a plus too. But my OEM intercooler is also so beat to shit that the straightener I used broke lol. And it has multiple big dents from rock chips. So if I’m gonna replace the intercooler I might as well replace...

Agreed! The black one does look more sleek. Only worried about rocks chipping it and causing tiny white dots on the IC. Prolly will install the intercooler guard when I do it.

Yeah, like you said I would imagine most fits both vehicles. I know PRL/HKS/PWR/Wagner will all fit.
