I had a 2017 VW GTI that was pretty heavily modified. I miss it a little bit actually...
I had a custom exhaust (aka frankenstein combo of various brands and some garage welding, :-P) Catless downpipe, put a cat in the forward section of the midpipe instead, hot enough to actually work but far...
Thanks all. I'm shopping for an intake (and maybe exhaust) that provides a bit more volume but not too obnoxious. I want some more silly noises to satisfy my inner teenager, but I made my last car too loud and I'm a bit gun-shy...
This sounds great (and definitely one of the better-looking intakes, IMO) but seems like the loudest intake I've heard. I know that videos are hard to tell actual volume, though. I assume this was recorded with windows open? Is the volume exaggerated in the video?
Edit: just saw that mic was...
This made me spit, lmao.
I very seriously shopped the 718 Cayman for a while before going with the ITS. Just needed more practicality.
I hadn't really thought of resale value when looking at all. Makes it harder, actually because the used model prices aren't too distant from the comparable new...
I've always been a car guy and I have had the good fortune to own and drive a lot of fun stuff (at least those models attainable to the everyman) but never really had the opportunity or fortitude to jump into the Porsche thing. At times, I'll cross-shop a Porsche with something else I'm...
Most metals recycling places will take exhausts. You won't get a lot of cash but some, better than trashing it, IMO, especially if you'd have to pay to throw it out.
Also, most metals recycling places will pay for catalytic converters, usually pretty good money for them. Most places you'll need...
I just feel like having a clean factory ECU available is a good idea in general, warranty stuff aside.
I’ve read too many horror stories about ECUs getting bricked for one reason or another, especially when flashing maps, etc.
This is actually a great idea and pretty affordable for peace of mind if nothing else.
Found for $249 here: Genuine OEM Acura - Control Module Powertrain Part# 37820-6PV-A03 | Acura Parts For Less
I assume you cannot just buy a spare ECU and send it straight to get jailbroken? You'll need...
Was watching AHC’s latest video (thanks to those guys for getting into these cars so early, btw) and saw where a bunch of rocks fell out of the splashguard when they removed it. Wondering if this is some of the noise I’ve been hearing. Maybe not the squeals and screeches but the twangs and...
I guess you could just push on the shield to make the gap between the rotor and the shield bigger and drop the rock out but if it's on the top it just risks getting stuck worse.
Glad to know I'm not the only one. Also sad to know it's such a problem for so many others. I figure maybe 10-20% of ITS owners are actually active on this forum? Wonder how many others are experiencing this?
I genuinely think this is a problem with the brake shield design. I've owned quite a...
My neighborhood and a lot of the streets I drive have lots of small rocks and bits of asphalt on them. At slow speeds, the tires are slinging these all over the wheel wells, I'm sure others have experienced this. That's fine and to be expected with sticky tires. Problem is that every now and...
Thank you all. I'll ask the dealer if they had the windshield tinted when they sent it off for tinting. If they did tint the windshield it must be some sort of clear UV blocking only film.
It's only really noticeable at night but the middle third of my windshield causes a double image. Basically, every oncoming car at night looks like it has fog lights. I thought there was something wrong with my eyes until I sorted it out... Clarity, etc. is excellent during daytime conditions...
