Late update, I did eventually check with the dealership.
For the sound when wiggling the steering wheel, they compared it to another car on the lot that also had the recall done and they found that it made the same sound. On that basis they conclude that this is normal for a car that has had...
For a few months now the steering feel seems off, the steering load is inconsistent like it fluctuates slightly from moment-to-moment, and doesn't inspire confidence at highway speeds. I thought maybe it was just the winter tires, but I've just put the PS4S back on and it still doesn't feel...
Same here. Called my local dealer in mid January and they said to call back in a couple weeks, they'd been cancelling existing appointments due to lack of parts. I followed up today and they still don't have them.
Since last summer I do hear subtle clunking sounds from the suspension. I notice it when driving at low speed on rough pavement, like a parking lot. Doesn't seem related to cold weather in my case.
Fits the car so well. How's comfort for longer drives? I think I'd have a hard time giving up any adjustments, I fiddle with lumbar support every other day.
Yup, it's a feature, not a bug. I do see what you mean RamVA, in my previous cars I would also tap the clutch as a way to cancel cruise so it took some getting used to.
Titan7 made a small batch of wheels with +53 offset at the request of some civicxi.com members. Can be found here:
https://osgikenusa.com/collections/special-parts/products/titan-7-t-p10-18x9-5-53-5x120-64-1-machine-black
Interesting that they went for +45 offset wheels rather than +60, apparently they don’t think it’s all that important to retain the 0 scrub radius achieved with the dual-axis suspension.
BTW this is not a new wheel design, these are Titan7 T-S5. The TCX car used a 18” version.
My own camera has shifted, now I see part of my license plate along the bottom of the screen. I think it occurred while driving on a washboard gravel road.
FYI, the Infinity Design intake can't be ordered on their main website (https://www.infinityautodesign.com/honda-civic-type-r-fl5) but I just saw that they now have a different website for the USA distributor where it sells for $1510...
Yeah, I should've mentioned that I had my car aligned at an Acura dealership and the specs they used for the ITS were the same as those shown in the pdf for the CTR. In case anyone is wondering if they might be different.
Right? "Reviewers shat on it top to bottom" meanwhile Car and Driver gave it a 9.5/10, and MotorTrend had it as a finalist for their Performance Car of the Year award.
Good overview of the MK8 situation otherwise. I strongly considered it but anyway I couldn't get one immediately without...
Practically all new cars are at 70-80% VLT stock. Tint shops may or may not bother mentioning that.
I live in a province where the legal minimum is 70% front, the shop recommended 50% front / 20% rear as a typical option that is widely tolerated. I went with 50% front and rear and I'm happy...

No doubt! I'm in a condo building, so if I wasn't using the garage I'd have to deal with street parking.
Upside is that I never have to scrape off snow/ice for a quick run to the grocery store.
