  1. RV6 Diverter/Bypass Valve

Yeah honestly, I'm not really sure if it does much, and that is mostly based on stuff I read a few years ago when I bought it and the Borla catback, that basically indicated that the Bosch? ECU would compensate for most stuff done to them unless it was tuned. No idea how accurate that info...
  2. RV6 Diverter/Bypass Valve

Very different engine. I bought the intake based on sound clips from YT videos on other CTRs, specifically for the noise as it serves no other practical purpose on a stock engine. It's quite loud, especially at high boost.
  3. RV6 Diverter/Bypass Valve

I have a PRL intake on my FK8, and it's actually louder that some BOVs I've heard. It even squeals under load like a slightly quieter hks SS. I'll probably do the same on this car if/when available.
  4. Delivery Day for my Performance Red Pearl Integra Type S - PRP ITS

Small world that I saw your car on IG this morning (I know BB pretty well). Looks awesome! :)
  5. First Oil Change

I think the question really is, "what even is it?" I mean, it's probably fine, but since dealers are independent franchises, some owned by huge companies...others smaller, it's impossible to tell what they're buying or where corners are being cut. That said, I'm not competing in endurance...
  6. First Oil Change

I've been doing the Civic ~3.5-4k miles since new and I'll likely do the same with this. I diy so their opinions on oil life don't matter. My NA cars I do around 5k, but I try to change the turbos a little sooner.....probably unnecessary, but since I live in actual hell (119* today, kill me...
  7. Integra Type S Purchase Price with Accessories

I found myself with this exact same question while waiting for the ITS, and the decision I've now made may surprise people. I honestly expected that this car would be a lateral move, and it would be silly to have what is essentially two of the same car.....I also reminded myself that I own...
  8. How to keep the exhaust always open?

One idea that bmw had in the past 10 years that wasn't overcomplicated stupidity was to use a vacuum-activated exhaust valve. My wife had that on her old X6, and a simple ziptie kept it wide open. In an adjacent topic, I really hope the aftermarket/internet comes up with ways to make these...
  9. The First "Used" Integra Type-S: $62,500

I don't know that I'd call it a huge profit.....my final invoice was 61.6k with just a few lines of add-ons and doc fees. $4500 in tax helps get you there pretty quick.
  10. Front parking sensors can identify curbs?

Most of my cars are low or lowered, so I've long made it a practice of backing in whenever possible, preferably tight to a side curb since the general CUV-driving public and their door-swinging crotchfruits are uncaring, car-damaging savages.
  11. Anyone planning on switching to low dust brake pads?

Maybe for the wheels, but these things are pretty gnarly and it gets everywhere in the wheel wells after a while. I constantly have to pressure wash everything I can get to on the civic and even then, when I rotate the tires, the backs are covered, as are every crevice in the calipers and front...
  12. Anyone planning on switching to low dust brake pads?

Ugh, now that I have two cars with these filthy (and eventually noisy) brakes....and two sets of wheels that are a pita to clean, I think it's time to move to something else. If ya'll haven't realized how bad they are yet, you will. Even if you manage to keep the wheels clean, it will manage to...
  13. Integra Type S Insurance Quotes?

I got a quote from State Farm, whom we have 4 cars and house currently insured, and it was $1020/year. I then entered it as an add on my Hagerty policy (8 cars currently), and it came back at $930/year for 60k as-stated value with no deductible glass coverage. I'm still waiting on underwriter...
  14. Estimated Delivery Timeframe for the 200 Preordered Cars

Lmao, yeah, I got that email today and I've had the car over a week.
  15. Post your delivery pics here!

Don't feel bad. Every road in this state is crumbling, the traffic is more atrocious every day because people won't stop coming here for some godforsaken reason, and the only curves within 90 minutes of here are drive thrus.
  16. List of Honest Acura Dealerships For Type S (MSRP vs Markup List -- Integra Type S)

FYI: if you want to update Acura of Tempe (AZ), I'll post my invoice here for the greater good of the community, haha. Yes, there are a few (expected) fluff charges in there. They aren't very descriptive, but it's the typical-for-in-demand-hondas floor mats, cargo liner, wheel locks, splash...
  17. Post your delivery pics here!

Here's one that shows them pretty well. I don't want to flood this with pics, but I just dumped 10 on an obligatory IG post if anyone is interested. @ronlp
  18. Post your delivery pics here!

They're black. I'll try and grab pics later tonight.
  19. Post your delivery pics here!

They were actually a pleasant surprise, even if they were part of a typical 'dealer add' line item. AZ roads are rock and dirt coated garbage, so it will probably help. I'll try and get proper pics soon. I haven't even posted anything on my IG yet because I want some in decent light to show the...
  20. Estimated Delivery Timeframe for the 200 Preordered Cars

Fwiw, my dealer (Tempe, AZ) got their white demo a few weeks ago when most did I guess, then my TEP and another, plus an apex arrived this Monday. They still have one more pre-order car in transit. The initial distribution point for my car was Las Vegas, so that could be a factor since it seems...
