  1. Windshield replacement is very expensive.

I suspect my Pilkington glass was installed incorrectly because the HUD display was undeniably distorted and crooked. Along with the noise and vibration, I couldn’t accept it as it was. Now to see if my tint guy wants to cover new windshield tint in his warranty. Feeling a little naked with a...
  2. Windshield replacement is very expensive.

My experience these past two weeks should be a good data point for anyone in this situation. On 8/21 driving on NYC highways a random pebble audibly SMACKS my windshield. I immediately notice a quarter sized spiderweb crack at HUD level about four inches from the drivers A pillar - directly in...
  3. Watch those potholes boys and girls

Wheel is fine. Tire is done.
  4. Tuxmat

I've purchased Tuxmats for my past two vehicles and I don't plan on buying any other mat ever. The side coverage is the best feature. It provides coverage all the way up to the plastic trim.
  5. Best Tint VLT%?

I feel this would mess with the continuity of the styling. Three different shades of glass would bother me. However it’s your car not mine.
  6. Best Tint VLT%?

20% ceramic all around. Under strong sunset. Ceramics make it much easier to see out of in all lighting conditions. If you live in a rural area 20% is too dark.
  7. Unofficial MY24 ITS production numbers

I’ve always said - for the entire life of the internet - that there should be a universal font for sarcasm. ?
  8. Splitter kit/lip kit for sale rsplitters

Looks nice, If i lived in the burbs i would probably have these on.
  9. Unofficial MY24 ITS production numbers

If 1500 per color were true there would be at least 10k 24MY. Mine is 0058 and Apex Blue. We should all register with Vinwiki.
  10. Unofficial MY24 ITS production numbers

I was curious about the numbers also. how many FL5 are out in the wild compared to our car? I haven’t seen any other DE5 during my ownership
  11. Spotted Integra Type S Thread!

Is there a way to find out the numbers? How many of ITS on the street? Because I can’t believe there isn’t more in the NYC/Tri-state area.
  12. Spotted Integra Type S Thread!

I’ve seen one ITS in the wild EVER! None since I’ve owned the car. Drive all around NYC and Long Island literally have been in every borough this week. Are these really that rare? Let’s get a meetup together!
  13. Pew Pew storage

Happy to hear that it's getting easier for those who want to protect themselves in both of our states.
  14. Pew Pew storage

I’m an active New York City Police Officer. (NYPD) Obtaining a CCW in NYC actually became a little less impossible due to a recent court ruling. (Good luck getting one still) I briefly considered an in-car holster where I can transfer to on long drives, but never followed through with the idea...
  15. Moisture in Tail lights

Warranty should cover that. Unfortunate, but it's a trip to the service center.
  16. What rattles does your ITS have?

I agree just turn on the bass heavy system to jam out. I'm not mentioning my rattles in order to prevent pointing out new ones to you guys. Turning headlights on the GTIs is a feature i miss for sure.
  17. What rattles does your ITS have?

I’m one that notices interior rattles and would let them irk me. I have also owned both the MK6 & MK7 GTI and completely agree with you. My 7th gen GTI was assembled in Mexico. Although build quality wasn’t up to MK6 standards was mostly rattle free. The 6th gen GTI was assembled in Wolfsburg...
  18. Pew Pew storage

This. The cable secured to the vehicle is needed if even thinking about storing while parked. For myself I would never leave a firearm in the car parked because if where I live. (NYC) I always have my Sig 365 IWB and train tactics in the drivers seat. I keep a couple extra magazines in the car tho.
  19. Deer Strike in May - repairs still not complete (mild rant)

I agree with Tw1stedlog1k, if you can get into a new ITS with not to much damage to the wallet, I would absolutely do so if I were you. You’re always going to have little imperfections bother you throughout the life of the vehicle. Before the ITS, I came from a manual GTI and the Golf R is the...
