I took delivery of an apex blue six speed yesterday. I needed to go out of state to get it at MSRP (Atlanta is charging 10k or so in markup). I have put around 400 miles on it so far, and here are my initial impressions and order process.
Ordering process- I never made a reservation though the...
I hate to be the “my dealer told me,” but I was told the reservation system was done through a third party and was nothing more than a lead for the dealer. The dealership would need to contact you and get the order placed. Just my two cents
I am just relaying what the dealer told me, that’s all. I am sure higher volume dealers get special treatment or have a different process. When I said “options,” I meant the grill, spoiler, and other add ons. The thing is, the dealer can “take your order” all day long, like mine did. They have...
When I talked to my dealer, he said that the ordering system is up, but the build options is not available. If you do not have any information from your dealer yet, i would not worry. He told me that the actual builds will not start until late April or very early May. Once the builds start...
When I talked to my dealer today, he explained to me the actual order process. Apparently the reservation system we did today was simply a “lead” for the dealership. He said that Acura will take all of this information and then send it to your chosen dealer. They will call you with details and...
Awesome, thank you.
Personally, I am really excited. I get the fact that we are not getting a 2 door and that could be consider a big miss. I think Acura knows that and might explain why they didnt even reference the DC2 model. This car got a TON of hate when it was launched back in November...
I might have missed this in all of the comments, so I apologize if so. Do we know if the full color suite is available when we order. The preorder did not have a lot of color options available. For example, i know red is an option, but it was not on the reserve. What am I missing? And can i get...
Oh I get that and yes, its totally a principle thing. I would love to do a type S, but I do not want to pay the ADM for it. The reason I want this car is simple. In a world of electrified cars becoming the norm, there will be fewer opportunities for us car folks to drive a manual car. I have...
It is, yes. But is more of the point of a reservation. “Pay me X dollars for a product that I (at this point in time) refuse to give you any information on other than the exterior of the car. It is super annoying
I am preordering on Thursday morning assuming they give us any information that I can go off of. For example, I am not preordering a brand new car that I have never seen the interior of, spec sheet, or the PRICE. Get it together, Acura.
I love the positive thoughts on msrp. Am I the only one that finds it odd that we are 3 days out of reservations and Acura has not even given us an official interior picture?
