May be stating the obvious, and not trying to be insulting.
What transmission do you have?
Are all bracket bolts tight for the new intake? Long bolt securing the airbox? Grommet post is fitted snug to the new airbox?
just spitballing trying to go over what could be vibrating as you describe.
I think the above post is spot-on. I stick to forums because that’s what I’ve known for quite some time, and the actual interaction is valuable to me. I know lots of folks who broaden their knowledge through YouTube, which I do, as well. However, nothing beats the ability to post a problem on a...
This is actually why I posted, as I’ve used Mishi in the past. My Mishi catch can was excellent.
I may give the Wunderladen a try so I can experience it.
As it sits, it’s not my particular taste, either. Fortunately, my wife is skilled at vinyl and wrapping, which will make it more my style.
I may give this an attempt and report back.
Has anyone attempted to fit the Si engine cover on an A Spec? In theory, it should work, but my research is coming up empty.
Been dressing up my engine bay and hoping to get things a bit more polished.
currently looking in the direction of the photo I am sharing here.
any insight would be...
I can't speak to the Integra as of yet, but I'm sure others can. However, most recently, I ran a catch can on a 5.0 Mustang Coyote motor and emptied it out with each oil change. It definitely caught blow-by. Same with other platforms I have used them on.
Good to know. I've run them on previous platforms and always felt it important to have. Glad it sounds like fit and finish are good. I'll most likely be pulling the trigger in the upcoming days.
Thanks!
Yes, I agree. On some platforms, I have found run-flats to be very rough and that they add significant road noise. I was worried that the already pronounced road noise on the Integra would be magnified by run-flats, but took the shot anyway. My tire guy assured me I'd be fine and I trust his...
Has anyone purchased and installed one of these? If so, what are your impressions? I've been researching and this is what I continuously come up with as far as direct fitment options go.
Thanks in advance, as always!
I agree with the above. Have used SRI's on multiple platforms and have enjoyed increased turbo sounds, but never noticed anything in the seat of my pants.
If your goal is increased turbo sound, I'd say go for it. If you think that, potentially, down the line you'll want more power you can feel...
I have been planning to do the carbon fiber one to match the rest of the carbon interior I've done, but it's also the same size. Have seen replacements, but not that are extenders. Sorry.
Hahaha...with Bimmercode, I was able to code in Sport Plus driving mode, unlock the exhaust valve and set to always open, disable auto start/stop permanently, change and customize my entire gauge cluster, change the start-up and shutdown animations and graphics, change all chimes and sounds...
I so wish there was a system for these cars similar to what I had used for my Bimmer. We used something called Bimmercode that allowed us to code in/code out various features for performance, infotainment, etc. Customizing the infotainment setup was awesome.
I am starting to notice it on my A-Spec and, I have to admit, I've been perseverating on it. It isn't anything crazy yet, but I definitely see it beginning. Have had this in other cars too. I find myself thinking that, when the time comes, I may swap out for a set of Recaros or Brides.
By the way, if anyone goes this route and needs any guidance or installation tips, please feel free to reach out to me. I would be happy to help you out.
