I started watching this YouTube channel a few months back (I like to do my homework). This particular video explains how dealers loose money holding onto cars (why deals are out there on demo models that have now technically been sitting for over a month). It's a long video, but they open on...
I feel your pain, I received mine this week also. I think I'm going to pass on installing it for now. Why didn't Acura just use the same finish they applied to the dash board? That would've been acceptable.
I'm going to keep posting this in as many relevant threads as possible. It might help those still looking to secure a car. I can confirm there are deals to be had on unclaimed launch edition dealer demos. Myself and a few others on this forum have gotten them for around $58k-$59k.
Wow, you guys are more upset about this than I am. I'm not going to fuss too much, I was treated well. I do want the floor mats as they were listed as added equipment. The shift knob would've been nice to have but I'm happy with the titanium knob. I did receive the leather steering wheel and 4...
More for the list:
1. Mcggrath Acura of Morton Grove Illinois (my purchase dealership)
I can't speak to if they will honor MSRP for every car but the GM was open to negotiate with local buyers only.
2. Muller Acura of Merrillville Indiana
They were asking 10k over and still have a dealer demo...
Some follow-up on the finance rate discussion. When I was closing today I discussed this topic with the finance manager. He told me that Honda/Acura finance has made a point of attempting to compete with the credit unions. As I said before, in my case they did in fact beat my credit union by...
Picked up today and loving it. The GM and staff at this dealership were awesome. He kept his word which I must admit, I was skeptical about until the deal was done. Only a few minor issues:
1. The original shift knob is missing, some tech probably swiped it. (GM looking into it)
2. Type S...
I have been working a few local dealers with unclaimed demo units since they arrived. I finally secured a deal today, "launch package" @$59k.
This is the strategy I used:
1. Sent an email to the general manager offering msrp + msrp for the "launch package" ($58k)
2. Recieved a reply asking...
To each their own as the saying goes. I'm ok with getting some dealer add ons at msrp. Such as the (air qoutes) launch edition. But I refuse to pay ADM.
Here's my contribution:
1. Neil Huffman of Oxmoor (kentucky)
CONFIRMED MSRP $500 DEPOSIT
6 of 6 allocations filled (supposedly I secured the final spot today)
2. Johnston Acura (Iowa)
10k ADM
Yes, I'm aware of the above info. I've been lurking here since March. As I've said this isn't my first rodeo either. I appreciate the feedback and please take no offense, but that list is not the end all be all.
First post,
I've bought several limited production/high demand vehicles at MSRP in the last decade. I thought I had it figured out. Haven't been able to crack this one yet. I've been told by dealers that these demos are basically untouchable. Seems to be a lot confusion out there. Can't secure a...
