  1. DIY Power Folding Mirrors: a journey

Thanks for your response! To answer your question, I don't intend to run a wire between the doors at all. Take a look at post #5 above. My intent is to wire it like the mikstore C kit, which is to say like the OEM method in countries where power folding mirrors are offered in the civic and the...
  2. DIY Power Folding Mirrors: a journey

For anyone following this thread check post # 4 above to see instructions on how to disassemble the mirror. Once i get my wobble problem fixed, all that will be left is the wring.
  3. Homelink Alternatives

The only hard part about removing the A trim pillar is concern over breaking the clip. This is easily remedied by buying a replacement ahead of time ($5), with that in hand, you can just rip off the trim without concern, and I'd say running the harness would take less than 15 minutes...
  4. Homelink Alternatives

I'm glad this worked out for you. To me it seems like a lot more work than taking off the a-pillar trim and running the harness. To each their own.
  5. Installing mesh in lower grill /intake to protect intercooler?

I used something like this along with some zipties on my 10th gen for almost 60k miles with no problems. It won't keep small bugs out, but it keeps large bugs and other animals out. (I once found a small bird caught up in it, RIP)...
  6. Homelink Alternatives

Go back to my post #23 for the correct 2 part numbers for this DIY. They are also on the civicxi thread I linked. I don't know if any other part #s are compatible with them.

  8. Homelink Alternatives

That would be me, about 5 posts above yours. But I have installed it. And while it does need a separate harness (see my post) i'd still rate the install as very easy. https://www.integraforums.com/forum/threads/homelink-alternatives.51223/post-838523
  9. Homelink Alternatives

I don't know if this is the exact same mirror as the MDX, but for those who want homelink and autodim in a frameless mirror, this is a solid option. It does require a new harness, but the install is still very easy overall. The hardest part is avoiding breaking the clip in the a-pillar trim...
  10. First oil Change Possible Smell of Fuel

The 1.5T is fairly notorious for having some fuel dilution, although enough to be a significant problem is fairly rare. My suggestion is to not rely on the sniff test and if it is something that you are paranoid about get an oil analysis done. I've used blackstone in the past, I'm sure there...
  11. Auto Folding Mirrors installed

Yeah, sorry man. i wish I were done already too. Just need to find a time to disassemble the mirrors and the hot weather lately has been demotivating. Otherwise I've got all the parts i need and I am 99% certain that my method will work. @JDM_DOHC_SiR has been down a similar road and he and...
  12. Auto Folding Mirrors installed

You absolutely can use this kit and save a lot of money over what the C kit costs. You can also avoid running a wire across between the doors using my method linked below. Now that @23Integra has exposed the fact that the C kit still requires mirror disassembly it makes no sense to spend that...
  13. Auto Folding Mirrors installed

Not yet. I haven't disassembled my mirrors yet. It's been hot as hell around here lately and I've avoided the sweaty garage time. As we get into September things should get a little better.
  14. Auto Folding Mirrors installed

That is correct, and if you noticed, the pictures I used are simply screenshots from the exact instructions @23Integra used with his C kit.
  15. Auto Folding Mirrors installed

I'll give you the short version, but if you want the long version, go read my thread here: https://www.integraforums.com/forum/threads/diy-power-folding-mirrors-a-journey.51260/ Short version: No, they aren't different. I have confirmed this with a person who did this mod using his original...
  16. Auto Folding Mirrors installed

Actually no, the wiring will be the same, with no wires needed under the dash. The only thing needed is an upgraded mirror switch (part number is in my thread), and the wiring will be the same as the C kit. Total cost will come to about 1/3 of the full C kit (depending on shipping) for the...
  17. Auto Folding Mirrors installed

No offense but seeing that you still had to swap out the motor base and trim , I'd strongly encourage everyone to save a few hundred dollars and buy this much cheaper kit from mikstore. https://mikstoreph.com/products/civic-2022-side-mirror-auto-folding-kit I'm working on a DIY here...
  18. Homelink?

This depends on the part number of the homelink mirror you want to use. There are 2 options. If you go the route of colleghillshonda, you will need the additional harness as that mirror is not compatible with the harness in the integra. The FB route is a different mirror part # and it comes...
  19. DIY Power Folding Mirrors: a journey

Wiring instructions (note: still incomplete) The good news is that I've successfully sourced the newer mirror control switch that is compatible with the OEM/C style wiring. See the first pic below for the back of this switch. The part number is 35190-T20-J22 shoutout to @JDM_DOHC_SiR for...
