echoing others, I installed the dongar that plugs into the rearview mirror. The plastic piece that covers it was a pain in the ass, but once you get past that, it's fine. My only gripe about that is that there must be some slight power difference that my Nexar camera senses when the car goes...
It's definitely a setting you can change. But I think it's also linked to the fob; there are settings for two drivers linked to each fob. Are you perhaps using the other one? (There's a 1 and 2 on the back of them)
So sensitive!! I'm trying to see it as a "feature", especially a security feature since previous smart fobs saw their cars stolen with signal repeaters.
I'll actually be pretty frustrated if Acura includes some of those things (vented seats, auto folding mirrors, heated rear seats, and rear vents) in the Type-S. Like ... those are not performance options, those are comforts.

I'm using two nexar Beam cameras; one front, one rear. The tool that comes with it for burying the wire(s) was quite useful. I didn't want to take anything apart so some of the wires are out, which is okay by me. The wire for the front camera goes behind the plastic underneath the glove box...
I am right there with you on not expecting to get one of these so soon. But when it's right, it's right, y'know? I got mine on June 10th. The Acura dealership here in Seattle said I was the first person to take delivery in the region. I didn't want many of the dealer-installed accessories...
