I still want an ITS at launch. However, I just realized I’m actually poor. My rent for my new apartment is higher than I’ve ever paid. I have no furniture yet other than a chair, a desk, and a bed on the floor. Food is $100 a bag. Ridiculous. Interest rates are bad right now. I make six figures...
So if an ITS is sitting an Acura dealer at about $52K MSRP/Delivery, and the Honda dealer down the street has a CTR at about $45 MSRP/Delivery, that only leaves about a $7K markup delta for the CTR before it’s hits the price of an ITS. And the average CTR markup is at least $10K from my calls...
I have two thoughts as I sit in the theater waiting for Guardians 3 to start playing.
One, in ten years we will all wish we had a 2024 CTR/ITS.
Two, how hard would it be to rip out that rear seat cup holder and put some foam in and redo the back seat in custom black leather? Likely not much...
Yea, at $52K it might be time to get summer tires, a clutch upgrade, bigger intake cooler, and a Ktunner/Hondata for my 23 Integra A-Spec Tech 6MT… then when we hit the 3 year mark it will be more ideal for a trade in, and maybe more features will be added to the ITS with a mid cycle refresh...
Ultimately, money will deside on the ITS for me. I won’t get into a stupid level of car payment or interest. I’d rather sell my Integra A-Spec Tech 6MT and get a beater to save up with. And the new ITS seats better be more comfortable. I might perform seat foam surgery otherwise. I was thinking...
Would anyone buy an ITS for between $55K to $60K if it added SH-AWD, added back the sunroof, added back the third back seat, added a dual clutch auto transmission option, and had TLX TS level comfortable seats? I think I would pay that much if the ITS was upgraded with all of that.
I may stop by next week, test drive some stuff. Oh and they will have a demo Integra Type S at or near launch for test drives I hear. I’m moving tonight, so I’m just a tad overwhelmed at the moment.
Damn. That $5K or so off a MDX and TLX. Does that count Type S versions? PMC Editions? I am going to call to find out. I’m still Integra Type S bound though, at least for the moment. I do change my mind like I change my socks.
