Keep in mind it was a "reservation system", not technically a pre-order--you're reserving a car to be delivered to the dealer of your choice so you can have the first shot at buying that particular vehicle. It's an extra allocation for the dealership (a win for them) and a way for you to beat...
Personally, I can't do just a bit of red, I either want to see all of it, or none of it--red all-season mats would be just fine with me, I'm surprised nobody's come out with them yet.
I think there's plenty of room for compromise at MSRP between the mismatched seats, lesser stero, tack-on...
I like the seats, I don't mind their red color... but the red carpeting is hard to stomach. I don't imagine it aging well with daily use (especially with kids/pets) and (at least for now) there aren't any all-season mats that aren't black.
I'm also not crazy about the red front seats with the...
Look for one of the 6 colors available in Canada to fall off next year, and for the Red to take its place--they did the same thing with the Civic.
Not sure about the availability of Orchid.
Good find! I came across a Reels video on Youtube that alluded to this car being for sale, but didn't include a price or means of finding the listing.
So before more people jump to the conclusion that these people are villains, keep in mind that there are a TON of speculative financial...
Supposedly dealers (at least some) can sell demo vehicles after 30 days--though it may not be wise for them to do so if Acura continues to delay reservation and regular allocation deliveries.
If the car isn't clean, you probably won't see a difference between the MBP and Gloss Black.
If it's clean and in direct sunlight, you may be able to tell from as far as 2' away.
If it's clean and out of direct sunlight, you'll need to be less than 1' away.
**All that said, the two...
The body panels are pearlescent black (there's glitter in it), whereas the aero parts are gloss black (no glitter)--so technically, yes there's contrast, but the two colors are essentially the same minus the pearl.
I stumbled across what I thought was a Type-S review on Youtube, but it turned out to be an ad for a (quite possibly the first) used 2024 Type-S up for grabs in Missouri... for the low low price of $62,500... only 181 miles... who's pulling out their checkbook...
Love the wrap--I'm a firm believer that every color lighter than Apex Blue in this car NEEDS a black roof wrap. I had one on my '23 Integra (PWP) and loved the look.
I told my 4-year-old that he needs to "step allllll the way over the light" and he's no problem clearing the illuminated door sills, and it's stopped him from dawdling around on the sill and stressing the side skirt connection like he did on my A-Spec + Tech.
There is a list of accessories that Acura corporate required all dealerships to add in exchange for getting a demo unit (essentially one extra ITS allocation). It included the bronze wheels, black badging, illuminated door sills, illuminated front emblem, carbon fiber mirror caps and spoiler...
I had the black front A-mark floating around the back of my '23 Integra for a full year because I was afraid to go through the trouble of removing the bumped to install it... glad I was finally able to get it installed and that I didn't have to do it myself!
For what it's worth, I had the illuminated door sills installed for the looks, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that it gives my 4-year-old a target for what he has to step over when getting in/out.
In my '23 Integra, he would basically tap dance all over the sill area, which didn't hurt...
