  1. Any word on the 2025 type S?

If Acura decides to keep this thing around a few more years, you could expect a somewhat similar "mid-cycle" update as a 2027 model. That would align with what we're seeing with the Si, which was first released as a 2022 MY. But that said, I doubt that will happen. The ITS being based on this...
  2. Integra Type S Photo Challenge

Sounds like fun. I'll try to contribute when I can... probably need excuses to get out and drive anyway.
  3. Back on Track

Yeah you just reminded me- another thing I forgot to mention was that the horn didn't work after they installed my heated steering wheel. Needless to say between that and the tires I don't have a high degree of confidence in them. It is unfortunate because I have gotten in the habit of being...

Exactly. This shop did actually do a great job on my wheels; no way in hell was I taking it to my local Acura dealer, where they've already destroyed two tires (that, in fairness, they did replace on their dime) on the OEM wheels! Not letting them touch my forged Apex's... and this shop mounted...
  5. [Now Available] AWE Exhaust Suite for the DE5 Acura Integra Type S

I think the valve is overrated as HELL. I leave this car in Sport+ mode all the time. It's not a huge difference. And doesn't the Apexi have all kinds of issues with their valve? +1 for not giving a shit about a valve...
  6. Car reviews into perspectives

$10k in repairs for a "people's car" is insane. Especially at 100k miles. Which really isn't "too early" for clutch replacement... in Porsches for example typically you can expect to consider replacing a clutch after 60k miles, but a lot of that depends on usage. But if you get 100k out of a...

Yeah I get that. But I'm not building a race car. This shop is reputable and has a strong following but no, they don't build race cars (their customers race their cars; does that count?). Anyway, I was hoping to just have an option when I didn't want/wasn't able to do something myself... like...
  8. Back on Track

Yeah I knew it was a stretch. Maybe I need to find another shop... Sad, because they didn't ruin my wheels mounting the tires and they're right down the street.
  9. Back on Track

I was going to do this but the shop that mounted my tires talked me out of it. They're a tuner shop and work on all sorts of performance cars and the guy had never heard of pulling strut tower pins to get extra camber before, and insisted it could be a safety issue and to get actual camber bolts...
  10. Any word on the 2025 type S?

It is starting to feel like whoever was going to get one, has one.
  11. 2025 MDX type S

I've enjoyed the Acura SUV loaners I've had. I had one for almost two weeks while I was waiting for delivery on my ITS after trading in my Boxster... I can't remember if that was an RDX or MDX though... I think it was a 5 seater so probably the RDX? I honestly have to admit I wasn't paying...
  12. What did you do to your Integra Type S today? 🙋🏻‍♂️

It is 100% expected for the dealer to mark up accessories over what you can get them at online retailers. They know this, and if you challenge them most of the time they'll drop the price significantly.
  13. Volks G025 19x9.5 et+44 Matte Gunblack with Rim Edge

I was desperately trying to find a set of these wheels... but I wanted the dark amber/clear. The only ones I could find were in fitments too aggressive for my tastes- and now from what I've been told that finish is discontinued. These are a fantastic wheel design. Looks great.
  14. Warranty, PRL high volume intake

Yeah that was my only real point, is to dissuade this apparently prevalent philosophy that you can do whatever you want to your car and just take off all the mods if it blows up and the dealer will be none the wiser, and that's just dumb. But honestly, while we're on the topic- if your engine...
  15. Warranty, PRL high volume intake

You're going off in a completely irrelevant direction. I'm not talking about legitimate maintenance work by a 3rd party. My point is that for those who think they can get away with modifying their car and "reverting to stock" if "something bad happens" are setting themselves up for failure...
  16. Warranty, PRL high volume intake

Lol all you want. I think it's safe to assume this. I know the "burden of proof" is supposedly on the dealer, but how often does that actually work, in practice? The bleak reality is that dealers basically get away with whatever they want in this country. Just think about what business your...
  17. Any word on the 2025 type S?

Actually... I had heard something about Acura going to Bang and Olufsen for their premium stereos so there may be some validity to this...
  18. Warranty, PRL high volume intake

If there's a shred of evidence that anything was modified they'll probably find it. As far as anyone is aware, these engines don't tend to pop very frequently so there will probably be a fine-tooth comb applied to any that do. A stretched hose, a stripped bolt or screw, broken or missing clips-...

I absolutely love my Apex VS-5RS in Satin Bronze. I was leaning strongly towards Volk G025 in Dark Amber/Clear but could not find a set in the appropriate size/offset I wanted (19x9.5 ~+45), and would have also jumped at the opportunity for a set of Advan GT Beyond in Hyper Black (more of a dark...

Congrats on the purchase, I approve of the color. You're making me want black emblems.
