Yeah, I just don't see many, if any changes coming for a new model year on a limited production model after its first year. Just look at the CTR for reference, the only thing that changed is the production date.
There may be a PMC edition but that would be even more limited production and...
Yeah the Michelins kick up a ton of rocks too- I think the OEM splash guards would do a solid job of preventing significant damage but rocker ppf would be a sure bet. If that's something you're considering I'd do it sooner rather than later.
BTW it looks FANTASTIC. Every bit as good as I was hoping it would. I still have a set of these exact wheels on order but 9.5 +45 and very excited as these bronze wheels look epic on PRP... I can cancel/change the order up until it ships though if I want to go wider lol.
Instantly, but I do have to remember it if I don't do it for a while.
The correct sequence is:
1) foot on the brake pedal only, push TC button twice
2) parking brake on only, push TC button twice
3) both foot on pedal and parking brake on, push TC button twice.
Other ways I try to remember it...
Yeah, please take it on a good long drive on twisty roads, and auto-x and track impressions. Very curious how this fitment works under the various conditions I'd be using it for, plus anything you can tell us as far as how steering feel is affected with the wider track/tires.
Also, the -1.4 of...
Just got back from a long "fun" drive. It engine brakes all it needs to, but that doesn't mean you don't need to apply the brakes. Engine braking doesn't really do all that much to actually slow the car down, at least not to the point where you'd want it to... brakes are there for a reason.
It...
I've been spending far more time than I should be browsing wheels lately, and have surprisingly come across a wheel I've never seen on a car before and can't seem to find much information on at all. They're listed for sale on several sites, but as I'm also finding out, just because a wheel is...
You know, I've heard similar reports... but they're also OEM tires on many cars. I've heard they're not the greatest street tire but figured they'd make for a tolerable summer tire and double as helping squeeze a few more tenths (or seconds...) out in autocross. I do need to be able to...
Yeah- beggars literally can't be choosers lol. It's not entirely fair to say "there aren't any options", when you have the qualifier "below $400".
200 TW tires are expensive, except for the Kumhos- but they're out there. Cup2s are the only ones that come in factory sizes but thems the breaks...
That is 100% the reason. You may find it annoying at first but it literally takes 10 seconds and becomes muscle memory by your 3rd run.
You can't drive this thing in anger without the nannies turned off.
Now I'm curious what you did to your last car...
I've had some pretty good luck with not overdoing it with my past cars. I had a 2015 STI with a Cobb turbo-back and intake and that was pretty much perfection in my book when it comes to aftermarket exhaust. Just the right amount of volume...
Oil nerds are the best, and worst, at the same time. I admire their... patience, though.
For me, I started to realize I didn't need to change the oil every 3k when synthetic oil became a thing, circa ~2001 or so. Similar studies- that a solid synthetic will essentially provide the same or...
Yeah so take it with a grain of salt- but some have claimed that Honda uses special oil additives from the factory to help with break in. I think there was another theory out there too but can't recall exactly what it was... in any case I don't think any of these conspiracy theories have been...
There's a clear and distinct difference from enthusiasts who enjoy a good exhaust note and idiots who rev their fart cans in parking lots.
edit- also boomers with open header muscle cars, also toothless hillbilly coal-rollers with 5" diesel exhausts.
Another study should be performed to...
Ah so you got them, nice! I was so close to pulling the trigger, glad he found a buyer. I'm very curious to hear how the fitment works out! I know he said they didn't rub lowered 1", but I feel like you HAVE to lower the car to get the negative camber to run those wheels, and I didn't feel like...
Anyone know if bronze Acura center caps exist in the Apex size? Is it just the ITS that had the copper/bronze wheels OEM??
(The TLX PMC edition had goldish-bronze wheels but black centercaps......)
For the Porsches, you're gonna want a 2009 and above to avoid the IMS bearing issues entirely. Again, not a dealbreaker in the sense of "absolutely do not consider buying one"... but personally I'd rather just make it a non-factor and get an 09 or newer.
That 2012 with the horrendous wrap is...
Lol, I was saying it tongue in cheek. That's good to hear that as auto enthusiasts we can appreciate other cars... but I had a guy run up on my ass the other day and sure enough it was an RS5.
