The tire pressure chirp is a standard Acura/Honda feature; our RDX did the same and so does our MDX.
I don’t believe you can lock the vehicle if it’s running. Admittedly, I haven’t tried every possible scenario but the only way I’ve had the car running and locked was by using a the built in...
Do you have any videos of your setup? There are not many videos of the Borla option on YouTube. I don’t know that I’ve seen a setup with an aftermarket downpipe either.
First and foremost, appreciate you taking the time to write a first-hand review following your testing.
The excerpt above confirms my hopes that DSC will fill the “gaps” that are present with the OEM ADS. I’ve always felt comfort was under damped resulting in a bouncy ride although, at speed it...
In all honesty, if you aren’t steadfast on the ITS because of its looks or “luxury”, I would highly recommend the FL5. It will serve you right for track days and still remains refined-enough to be street driven most of the year.
You’ll keep some extra money in your pocket for mods which will...
Thanks for the update, Maya.
How were the baselines developed for the ITS? Do you have access to an ITS locally for testing purposes?
I'm sure you could find someone within driving distance who would be willing to offer their vehicle for testing if needed.
I assume ours will just be shipped on December 12th along with the rest of the orders. I’d rather have a solid product than deal with updates immediately after receiving.
The reason they are recommended to be replaced is simply due to the fact that one of them typically snaps during installation. Titanium is not harder than alloys like steel, but it is less prone to corrosion which theoretically makes removing the nuts easier the second time around.
Someone swapped the FL5 cluster into a DE5 but it required additional supporting components. If I can find the link I’ll share it, but it’s fairly involved and costly (even if you can find the parts used).
Edit: It won't allow me to generate a link to the post on FB, but here are the details:
Does this contraption actually keep your body in place? I have a hard time believing Velcro and tension straps would keep body weight under centripetal force in place.
This is a curious statement. Why do you think the main players who are tuning these engines do not suggest (and even discourage) the use of BOV on these engines?
If there was no data to backup these opinions then it would directly discount their reputation and business.
I may be mistaken, but I don't think you're getting a 5in drop with coilovers; you will need to go with an air setup for that.
If stance if your goal then I assume you aren't concerned with the suspension geometry, but you will need a slew of supporting suspension components (camber arms...
Appreciate the write up. The more real world feedback I see, the more compelling it is to give it a shot.
Are you on stock suspension or springs? If so, which brand and model?
