Just drove my S2000 (AP2) yesterday after driving the ITS for like a month or so (4000 km).
I gotta say that the clutch feeling on the ITS is so disconnected! The engagement point is really vague.
The engagement point is so spot on with the S2000 (mind that I replaced the AP2 slave cylinder...
Surprised of the MPG I get with the car. After 4000 km, I averaged 8.0 L / 100 km.
With my 2014 Honda Fit automashift, I averaged 8.5 L / 100 km on the last 9 years. Notice that I drove in a lot of trafic with the Fit.
Nonetheless, I'm quite surprised that I can achieve that in the ITS, with...
Got my winter package on order.
18x8 +40 offset FC04 wheels in gloss black with 235/40-18 tires (Blizzak WS90). Wheels should sit exactly where the OE wheels are.
If I find the tires are too wide, might go with some 225/45 next time (which is a 2.7 % difference from OE circumference).
I've used the gutter mesh plastic thing linked above on all my previous cars. Planning on doing it to the ITS, just didn't had the time yet. Hope it can be done without removing the bumper...
Accord tire will fit on the regular Integra, but won't on the Type S.
Also, the wheel well is not the same shape on the regular Integra and on the Type S.
There is another thread on the Type S forum section for a spare tire. Might have mixed the two threads, my bad.
Won't clear front calipers. You have to put the spare in the rear.
To clear front calipers, you at least need a 18" wheel. This is a 17" RL spare.
Tire is regular RL spare tire size: 155/70-17
If you have a flat on the front, you put a rear wheel to the front, than put the spare on the rear...
Which site did you use? This is really cool... As I understand, I should look for a offset higher than +35 if I want the winter wheel to be a little more inside the fenders.
Finally looking at 18x8.5 wheels with a +35 offset and 235/40-18 winter tires.
From what i understand, these wheels would be a little more tucked in than the OE wheels. Am I right?
So, here is the Acura RL spare tire. It fits in the rear, no problem. Wheel diameter is the same as the stock wheels.
When in the trunk, it doesn't sit flush as there is a bump in the trunk pan. Will have to put something underneath both front and rear to support the spare wheel from under...
This is good news! Thought that sensors would only last 3-4 years max. They should then last the life of the tire so I won't have to get tires unmounted-remounted just for replacing sensors!
Problem is, I do not drive that much. So usually, the tires can last up to 10 years. So might need to replace the TPMS like 2-3 times in the life of the tires. Then do the same on the winter wheels.
It's a lot of money just to be able to have the tire pressure displayed in the dash. I could...
A tire that clears the calipers (at least the rears) will probably be thicker. I will be able to test next week as I'll get my car. I already bought a used RL spare tire so I'll try.
