Currently running a the Dream teardrop knob in gunmetal. Heaviest knob to date and weighs a little more than double the factory knob. It's substantial in size and weight compared to stock but I genuinely prefer this size and shape. I thought the skunk2 I was previously running would be "the one"...
Unfortunately I don't have the factory tires around anymore to measure. Once the wheels come back in a couple of weeks I will be happy to measure them for you.
Every rash is a reminder if why tilting sideview mirrors are so important. Also good driving skills 🤣
I can *feel* the anxiety in this picture lol.
I stuck with the factory PS4S because I do have a winter setup on the factory wheels. For summer I run a different wheel with the same diameter and width as factory, just a +35 offset. Didn't even make it a full summer and I've already curbed the...
For you track folk, I've seen the car can fit a set of tires, a jack, tools, and a cooler. As I'm sure you've probably figured out already.
Get to the track fully loaded, spend a full day on the track, and drive back home with full Honda reliability.
Did you mean in general? We have to get the accessory heated wheel which has the heating elements built in but it also comes with the button, harnesses, fuse, and rear shroud to accomodate the button.
Adding another data point, I removed my helper spring AFTER removing the CDV and installing the CMC bypass and braided clutch line. I have a similar looseness maybe at the top 1/2" or so of pedal travel that can probably be adjusted away (it hasn't bothered me enough to put in the effort)...
Yes I'm using the default kit parts and I. Setting 2 for height. I may switch off to a lighter knob, it'll probably help to return some of that notchiness.
That's exactly what it is, the Hondas are smoother and less industrial, as you put it. I agree that they're not better or worse, just different. I think you'll enjoy the Acuity a lot, it really highlights the shifter's natural characteristics while the other options try to change them. I still...
Your username had a familiar ring to it and now I realize why; fellow/former F87 owner here also and the AS SSK definitely added a level of enjoyment to that car. I feel the factory shifter on the Type S is a huge jump over the F87's factory shifter but not quite as engaging as the AS SSK as...
I think H&R is your best bet; 0.75" Front and 0.6" Rear drop. Still lower than what you're looking for but it's the most conservative of all the drops.
I admit I'm 50/50 on this tire setup for exactly that reasons you mention. My goal was for a slightly more compliant ride and the looks as just a benefit. Turns out it's a bit too noisy for my liking and I the number feel was a definite drawback. I'm also not quite sure how I feel about the...
