Good point. Which makes it even worse. Even sales people at dealerships emphasize the excitement of being one of the first to own the vehicle. TBH, I don’t mind waiting or not being the first. What bothers me is the silent treatment after taking my deposit. This isn’t the Cybertruck for crying...
I’m am getting increasingly annoyed (and I’m sure I’m not the only one) whenever I see others take delivery of white ITS’s (I think it’s the Canadian market?) mainly because I do not feel like the “pre-order” means anything at all. I’m happy for those people, just really feel let down with the...
Yup totally get it. Here in CA for example, nearly every dealer has ADM and it's simply the way the market is at the moment. IMHO, it doesn't make them any less reputable than others.
I agree and this would be an effective solution in an ideal world but car buyers in general (ITS or not) are all in different life stages and have different needs. Even if most people refuse to pay any ADM, the demand is there and dealers get to decide whether they want to take advantage of that...
Yea I’ve pretty much stopped looking at the forums because it is ruining the excitement a bit. I totally understand that delays can happen but not hearing anything after putting a $2K preorder down is very disappointing.
I’m happy to see that as well. Although you have to consider the economic situations and life season for each individuals. Just because someone pays over MSRP doesn’t mean they lack principle or self-control. Timing is everything.
Here in San Diego the lowest offer is MSRP with a $7,500 markup + $2,500 of meaningless mandatory options like paint protection, etc. I managed to negotiate out of those options and instead add accessories that I want such as the CF spoiler, shift knob and Blacked out emblems. Add the taxes and...
Somewhat related, an FB group member posted that they’ve taken delivery of a white ITS. They said it’s definitely not a demo car since dealers are not allowed to sell them for 30 days. So now I am properly confused with Acura’s production run ?
Ah, about that. I posted yesterday that my previously assigned VIN is now invalid according to my dealer. Apparently, there's some issue with the production of the ITS which will delay it by about 10 days. According to my dealer, I will have to wait for a new VIN to be assigned but to still...
Right? Interest free loan. Hey, at least it’s not a cybertruck… ?
Source came from an active FB group member who got a preorder in. Unfortunately that’s all I have.
Someone from the FB group said they received an update regarding the ITS that were in transit but suddenly disappeared from Acura's systems. Apparently, the earliest models to hit the lot had some quality control issues so they decided to pull them back to have all of them rechecked. Take this...
