They seem to be in production and shipping to dealers now. I placed a deposit for an APB/Black and was led to believe I was first in line for that color combo. Saw that one was in transit, so I reached out to my dealer to confirm it was mine. I was told that it's for someone else, but...
Sold! Small price for the convenience. I went with the straight black too, which is fine because I’m getting the ebony interior. There’s a 10% off coupon right now. Plus, it gave me a bonus 10% off during checkout (so a total of 20% off).
I was running random zip codes through Acura’s website and saw 5 in transit to the west coast. Sadly I’m still waiting to hear something about mine here on the east coast.
How often did you bug your dealer for an update? I’m trying to find the balance between being patient, but not forgotten. I trust the car is ordered, but it’s difficult to be in limbo.
This is the first Apex Blue Pearl that I have seen in transit! Not my dealer, but I am thrilled to see them in production and on the way to dealerships! Things are looking good for us ABP buyers! (I want a black interior, so hopefully those are in production too.)
Maybe SlyBrackets could be an option if you don't mind blocking the intercooler a bit:

My wife is totally on board with me spending the money to buy and maintain this wonderful car, but she would not be happy with me getting pointless tickets for not displaying the license plate. Speeding tickets while having fun she could forgive and forget, but failure to display is a different...
Thanks. That is an interesting option. I wouldn’t think that would block or redirect too much airflow. I would probably find a way to use more than a single zip tie. I would also want to ensure it doesn’t rub on anything. Any thoughts from someone that actually gave this a try?
Looks great! I have a deposit down for an ABP, but the LSM is quickly becoming my second favorite! I could consider going either way, but sticking with APB for the moment.
It’s funny that you mention that. My Tacoma TRD is a V6 and I put regular in it, but it drinks gas. So I figure that I may save a little money on gas now or at least break even. I got to keep the truck though, because they really come in handy. I never realized how much until I got one.
I initially considered the Integra Aspec when they came out, but I am so happy that I waited for the Type S. One thing I couldn't get past was being required to put premium gas in that car. Now the Type S...I won't have any problem at all happily pumping premium gas into that tank!
