No not on this part but I did have my stock carbon wing and carbon mirror caps clear coated at a body shop. Unfortunately I got this after I did that so it wasn't coated. I will add a layer of ceramic coating to it and well see how it holds up.

I have the Hood Vent and its a overlay , the quality is nice and the weave looks good. Easy install , only thing I recommend is using your own 3M tape on the parts as I had a small corner start coming up in the heat and have to find time to take it off and fix it but not a huge issue .

Scratches on mirrors , steering wheel and shift knob , improper care of the vehicle , chunk of rubber out of the tires and residual oil in the engine bay . That's what mine came with , all at no extra charge. Not even going to complain as I do not want it back at the dealer.

Old-school , Carbon was huge back in the old days. I think Carbon is awesome for weight reduction and looks. Allot of high end vehicles use tons of carbon all over. I think it's just personal preference . I only wish my entire type s was carbon.

Can I see ? I have The stock and Alcantara at the moment but been thinking of maybe adding a Carbon Steering wheel . I do love the quick change setups but don’t know if I want to loose my airbag for one . The zestek looks amazing . So maybe a carbon wheel I see in the future .

Ofcourse they don’t but if you want them to last this should be done . I believe Acura uses a cheap gel coat from what I have heard .

Coming back to this post I met a rep from Acura client relations at the dealer , he agreed to new parts , I told him it will most likely happen again as Acura does not use a clear coat . I got my past parts from Jogon but just ordered from tanso. It’s the same exact company and people running it . I been speaking with them and they just recently made the tanso site . Why ? I have no clue also I waited two weeks for Jogon to actually ship but when they did ship it came in a week...

In normally takes 2 weeks for them to get the part shipped and made or whatever they are doing .

Same company , just a heads up , not sure why they go by both names .

Looks great , did you use the supplied tape or your own ? The silver trim bothers me , it’s out of place . I’d say paint it black or gunmetal . Looks like it won’t be easy to do .

Going to be a bit before they arrive but I’ll share after I get the console on .

I have not had that issue with there parts , however the clear coat did peel on my stock peak Acura carbon spoiler and mirror caps at only 300 miles so I had them sanded down and clear coated . I just purchased the console parts in matte carbon .

Yeah I think I may go matte also even if it doesn't match perfectly with the other gloss pieces I have. I wish I could afford all the pieces right now. I was looking at the steering wheel pieces also but I may just get a real carbon wheel eventually if I can sell my stock or alcantara wheel.

lol you only live once . I think I am going to get the carbon dash but I am debating on matte or shiny carbon. All my other carbon in the car is shiny but I feel like getting it shiny for the dash could produce some glare from the sun so I may go matte.
