I had a C6 Manual Corvette and the only thing I can say I miss compared to the Type S was the straight line speed and sound of the vehicle. I like everything else better with the Type S minus the rattles.

Only the glove box area so far with no luck . I was going to remove the other pieces circled but I don’t hear the rattle in that area. It sounds like it’s coming from the far right side of dash closest to the windshield and there is no way to access that area removing those . I think I just may...

I’ll try but it seems like it may be really hard as it’s tight to get in there and at an angle . I’d almost need to be a surgeon to perform something like this . If only I could easily get a bit of access to that area .

I have to test heat from ac but it’s not the wastegate . It’s like a loose screw or clip vibrating against something , thats what I am thinking at least . I have heard the wastegate rattle before . This is louder .

Reporting back after trying the sound test yesterday , no luck . It didn’t produce my rattle/buzz . It’s weird bc this seems to be coming from the front right of the dash someplace , could be someplace under it also and resonating and it’s temperature dependent. Only happens under like 50...

I had someone take a ride and we couldn’t exactly pin point the exact location it was coming from but I plan to try again . Hoping the next time we figure it out .

I saw that and already did that fix with no luck , sounds like mine is coming from a different area . Front right someplace .

I don’t have a mic like that but can assure you it’s not the wastegate also . It’s something loose or resonating , I can hear that actual tapping of something hitting against something . I’ll try for a better video when possible .

The video doesn’t do it justice but it’s sort of both . Something is definitely loose someplace as it happens on throttle and off when going in the higher rev range . It also appears to happen more when it’s colder outside but I believe now that it’s warming up I still hear it .

So no luck today . I tore the door card off . Took the speaker grill off to check and reinforced it . Checked every screw or loose part on door and door card , even all the clips and door handle . Drove with the door off and on . The rattle/buzz was still present coming some place from the front...

I do feel it’s looser on passenger side as the drivers side doesn’t move but the passenger does a drop so I’d rather be safe and inspect it and reinforce it once I take the door card off again . Do you know how to remove it all ? do you know how to remove this part ?

Are you referring to the metal els speaker grill ? If so I am going to try to take that apart and check do you know how by any chance ? I found these images online , I’m hoping it’s my issue . Raising the speaker volume doesn’t make any rattle noises for me , it’s only when heavy on throttle .
