Me personally, I'd like to see if there is additional range for softness for comfort to eliminate the choppy ride on imperfect roads, and if the sport + can retain the sharp handling while being more comfortable due to the active suspension ability of the DSC.
What I remember on the Porsche...
This is good news. I purchased the DSC unit primarily for the added comfort. When I had the DSC for my 997.2, it allowed a greater range of motion for the comfort setting, while making the sport modes significantly more comfortable.
The ITS handles very well in Sport + already, but has such a...
There are some comments with initial feedback from the pre-production DSC units on the FL5 forums. Seems like the tuning files are not sorted out yet but there is hope with the final version.
I had the DSC module on my Porsche 911 4S 997.2. It was a significant difference especially in the sport mode. For the comfort mode, it basically allowed twice the range so the ride was indeed more comfortable. The sport was significantly more comfortable -something about instead of stiffening...
I have not stalled mine but starting it can take a couple tries. Clutch fully in, sometimes hitting the start button doesn't fire it up all the way or not at all even. Had the dealer look at it and they could not reproduce the issue.
I'm glad they're addressing the ride quality. Normally other reviews says it's "comfortable" but I disagree. The ride is stiff. If you live around bad roads or urban settings, it's a bit much. My 997.2 C4S with PASM and a DSC module rode better and obviously handled well.
I have been looking...
FWIW, anything with a manual isn't ideal for drag. Many Porsches aren't fast in a straight line either. And the real drag race winner right now are EVs. Some M-lite cars are pretty damn fast too. I gave it a go against a X3 M40i with the B58 and he handily pulled away.
What are the thoughts about the CT4V Blackwing? Seems like you get the great steering, RWD, awesome seats, a little bit more power, and better ride quality with about a $15k premium. I don't care for how it looks, and find the car to be overly cramped even in the drivers seat when I test drove...
There is a thread on a Civic forum about members documenting issues, and the vast majority are from the 1.5L. It just has very low limits on what it can handle, and nothing about it was praised in the reviews of the Si. Just doesn't have the same soul or build quality as the older RSX and Si's...
No, I am with you on this one. There's a balance of contrast that works well. I purchased the dash and shifter console and will leave it at that. I think the door trim looks good, but not together with the additional door pieces and door handle. Anything that has a chance of peeling off is also...
I got a reply back from Jogon. They are willing to give me a significant compensation if I am willing to fix it myself. They even sent over a video on how to polish the trim pieces. I think I will take that route--figure it will get dinged up at some point anyway.
Bought the glossy carbon fiber dash on black friday and it arrived with these scratches on the big face on the passenger side. The box wasn't crushed and everything was packed pretty good. Kinda sloppy that it left the factory this way.
Seems odd that the P0219 code would be triggered below redline. The redline is 6600rpm, and usually those codes come up when you are in excess by several hundred RPM
That makes sense, I think the calibration is the problem-- it's set at a distance that assumes all adjacent lane cars are approaching at a much higher rate of speed. If I am traveling faster than the adjacent lane car into the lane change, it should account for that and lower the warning distance.
Anyone else find the Blind spot detection to be utterly useless in this car? It seems to be speed sensitive, so if you are on the highway, it will still go off even if you are 4-5 car lengths ahead of the car in the adjacent lane. What good does it do if it always alerts?
My Accord won't ring...
I also want to hear your thoughts on the 4BW, I always thought it was superior as a sports car with a few more compromises as a daily. The ITS and 4BW seemed like they were top picks for clutch and shifter feel with the 4BW having a bit more of everything-- more hp, RWD, cylinders, and price.
Same here, when it was brand new, moving the stick out in and out of gates felt like I wasn't pushing the clutch in. At 2200 miles, it feels way better and smoother.
