Everyone needs a hobby, but just have to think what sort of car the same money would have put in a driveway, fully warranteed and put together as a system. I’ve done everything I could think of to a car and that was a bunch of fun but sure is easier to just buy a better car.
And how much did...
At least you did not travel to Crewe and spec out a bespoke Bentley, wait a year only to have it sink to the bottom of the Atlantic with about 175 other ones. Imagine that grief.
No that was not me just a dream but it did happen to some people a few months back.
This is how old people talk, apologies.
Did a bit of driving on all sorts of roads yesterday, and remembered that back when I learned manual, only cars that were considered high performance had rev counters. We had a number of VW bugs with three speeds, on mountainous roads. NC80 went by...
It is not that simple.
A zillion variables come to mind including what mood I’m in. But things like the road incline and just what my intentions are for the next shifts.
And that’s the fun.
I go by ear, not the rev counter. If the drivetrain starts sounding scary, upshift. If it starts...
Never had a dog inside a car but use a dog seat cover on my Si driver’s seat because I often get in it after exercise. A factory option would be nice.
Would it not matter what kind of dog? In terms of how much damage the upholstery receives?
I saw some on the model I drove. To my eyes they looked disappointingly cheap. Almost like a removable hubcap. The Si 18” wheels are much sportier. And tires are likely more available down the road. I wonder if the Acura wheel centers would fit the Honda wheels.
Someone might actually...
I follow your reasoning. Am about ready to reconsider the Integra and aim for another Si. The Integra is not a “big slow tank” compared to cars in general, but it pretty much is compared to what a lot of us have been used to driving. I am not talking the high dollar cars we might have, I am...
I have never listened for ”road noise” in any vehicle. I hear people mention it but not really sure what that is.
Maybe it’s because I listen for other things. Radios are nice.
Now if this noise could be heard with sound system on, that would be different.
It’s pleasing. But personal preference. They work together fine.
I like the color of the Si seats (well, the front ones on the new car) but have concerns it might not complement well with some Si colors. At least to my eyes.
So I drove the demo our local dealer has. Blue/orchid manual. I’m no car reviewer but have had experience with a bunch of vehicles, and we had some good open winding roads on a clear perfect morning. Nice blue sparkle in the sun.
Parked our Gen 9 Si by it. I took no pictures because we were in...
Once I looked into putting such on my track Lotus Elise. At that time I was looking to do anything to the car I could think of, part of youth’s enthusiasm. I was reminded that the Lotus way was to use my ears and the feel of the drivetrain.
