overall the car market is cooling. I’m always car shopping and the Honda dealers while holding tight to MSRP+ are getting more and more cars in.
I have a feeling everyone who preorders the integra willl pay sticker and all will be right in the world!
The WRX is and has always been a “young kids...
For sure. It would make sense to tease something this week and release some sort of specs week of preorder.
After the Subaru news I’m kind of resigned to the fact that 1.5 might be the same out of the civic and a CVT which does change things for me.
Back in 2008 bmw did this when they brought the 1 series to the states. “Year one of the 1”
I had one. Different time. That car was 8% under invoice lol
I think most dealers will try and add those $1-2k packages that each dealer adds but probably less else
the civic si so far seems to be at...
absolutely. Although the chip issues are starting to matter again, Apple is running into build issues, reports this morning and Renault is going to be 300k cars shy for the year due to chips.
I’m sure Honda has a game plan and hopefully it’s not a ford plan of building the cars on holdback until...
Seems a Reddit post on the Acura sub has a couple folks claiming the dealers are hearing the integra wont hit dealer lots til end of the year. That could be a bit nuts for some of us who are waiting
right!
right now our Penske are sticking to MSRP. He even called me just to keep me updated.
I guess we’ll see in exactly 3 weeks from today.
Going to be a long 21 days!
Shush!!!
the Acura ADs will hear you!!! Lol
I honestly expect at worst the standard MSRP plus package but nothing more
I cannot see Acura letting dealers spoil the introduction of this all important vehicle
valid Point. They could just offer SHAWD on a Type S later in the year for the additional $1,200 they normally charge
it’s a mental exercise, kind of how I think Acura may offer the DCT as standard and offer the 6MT as a $1,200 option instead of the MT being the base offering.
since it’s a...
Agreed.
If you place the order online, the dealer has you come in or via email, there should be a signed bill order outlining what you ordered and how much it was. Signed by customer and preferably manager.
that’s the only thing that’s going to save you come delivery time.
Obviously a dealer...
If you are putting a deposit down. You’re allocating a car to you.
The dealer should 100000% be offering a build order where you sign. If the manage signs then they can’t change the price after the fact. Quite common
I read all info and my AD speaks as though your $500 deposit is allocating a...
I’m 100% ok with this method.
make a “first run”
See how many folks actually put cash down. Helps them align future production
None of that is an issue at all.
What I don’t want to see happen is using this method as an excuse by dealers for insane markups
a car manufacturer gauging which...
I posted about this in the other thread. You place the deposit online. It pairs you with you local dealer. From there they take your order and facilitate it.
I get it. I would travel if need be as well.
alternative, the market is 100% cooling. This isn’t Q3/Q4 and I think the worst dealerships would attempt is MSRP+ “tint and package”
If an extra $1k save some grief, so be it.
Just called my local Acura AD.
Deposit submitted online which is routed to your nearest Acura dealership at which time they would submit an order for you. Still no information released to the dealers. Sounds like they’re getting the briefs the week of
Well “reservations” doesn’t indicate if it’s online or via a dealer. The signup process is the same as it was before.
If your positing that it’s a Tesla like reservation system, I would love that. But doubt Acura is taking fiat deposits online starting on the 10th.
I think it’s more that you’ll...
Totally plausible they release specs before the 10th. Akin to a Tesla release.
Pre order now, more to follow.
But at the very least, price and trims would be given our prior to reservations.
I love how it’s “supply will be limited” even though the Acura road map shows how important this model is...
and that’s why kid has the civic lol
I love being inside it. Comfy and great layout. Even with 180hp you push the gas and the cvt just cannot keep up
but she’s getting over 30+ MPG lol
