The RS3 is pretty much the perfect daily if you can get on with the size — the engine really makes the car. But the inputs are more numb than the CTR/ITS. For the same price and as a daily, I'd take the RS3 over the CTR/ITS any day. But obviously it's 10K more than the ITS and 20K more than the CTR.
I agree with everyone here on wishing the Type S/R was RWD. FWD is always a compromise. Even so, it's a great car.
But what I really want to hear is why you traded the Blackwing!
If the Type S had the body and interior of the Type R I'd probably go for it. But I don't like how the Type S looks inside and out, I don't like the seats, I don't like the headroom in the back seats, I don't like the higher height of the hatch, I don't like that it's longer, and I prefer made...
The 8Y RS3 is a great car. I’d say the ITS/CTR has better inputs, but the RS3 to me feels more playful. It’s also obviously much faster and quite a bit nicer inside, even if it’s probably not as nice as it should be for $65K. To me the RS3 feels more worth its price than the ITS (assuming both...
I'd definitely be interested in more thoughts as you have them.
My perfect car would be an FL5 (prefer the looks, seats, build quality, shorter length) with heated seats + ITS exhaust and suspension. Since that doesn't exist, I'll have to go one way or the other if I end up grabbing one.
Do you have any more recent data? I’d be surprised if they’re still selling that high. Just this past week I’ve seen two new FL5s (one in CA, one in WA) for $5K over. I think dealers are going to end up losing money on some of these used cars if they don’t sell soon.
This is so annoying to me — I really feel like Acura should've figured this out on a car over $50K. Wouldn't stop me from buying, but I drove my Elantra N for 7K miles with no rattles.
Idk, I like all of these cars: the ITS, the CTR, the GRC, and my RS3. I'm not a brand or model loyalist and before this I owned an Elantra N (and before that a Fiesta ST, and before that a Mazdaspeed3). Personally, if the Elantra N came in a hatch or wagon and was still under $40K, I would not...
I like both cars but if I was getting one for the track I’d definitely get the CTR — just for the better gauge cluster, shift lights, and seats. It’s an easy switch to the ITS ADS module if you want a slightly more compliant ride.
For a daily, I think either at MSRP is a fine choice. Perfect...
Haven't driven the BW (but I want to!). My guess is it would be more fun to drive fast while the ITS might be more fun to drive slow? Even though I liked my test drive, there's no way I'd spend $10K over (or even $5K over) on the Integra.
