I stand corrected. I was just now playing around, and if I stay in the throttle long enough, the light does flash on. It seems to not come on with short, minor intrusions, or I'm just missing it.
That's interesting. Mine seems just the opposite. The dash light comes on when I turn the system down with the button. But when driving, I can feel it engage, but no light.
It is interesting that folks seem to have different experiences with VSA/traction control. Today I was able to determine that under a specific loss of traction, VSA did intervene. I could definitely feel it, but no light came on. I then went through the 3-step process to fully disable it and...
Thanks folks. I think my car is perfectly normal based on your feedback. I have a reasonably good feel for handling dynamics, with over 10 years track experience before retiring and needing to cut back on the budget. But all my experience is in high hp rear-drive cars, so this is quite...
I'm the new owner of an Integra S, and after 2 weeks I'm very favorably impressed with it. Regarding traction control (VSA I guess in Acura speak) I have a question. The little icon light comes on when I press the button to turn the system down to a lower level, as it should. And when I go...
I just got out a mirror and flashlight and checked that recess again. You are exactly correct; it is the cutout for the shifter lock release, and the key fits through the slot. Since it is a manual transmission, the key doesn't touch anything, so I guess it has no function. Sorry for the...
Of course I did check there. There is no cutout for a key in the recess, but there is a small hole on one side that could be a receptacle for something small. But I believe you are correct, and the recess has no function in a MT car. I'm just curious about it and am looking for confirmation...
Good thought, but no, I don't believe that is applicable in a MT car. Also, the opening there will not accommodate a key. Very strange, although it will probably turn out to be a simple answer.
