Maybe. My son lives in Bangor ME and has an Aspec/Tech. Since there are currently no Acura dealers in Maine (One apparently is opening this month near Portland) heās been allowed to get his services performed at a Honda dealership. Not sure how the new dealership in Maine will affect that...
When I took my first long road trip I turned on the wireless charger and attempted to use it with my iPhone 12. I got so hot that all the screen said was that it was off due to the high temperature. So itās off forever, if I need to charge while driving I use a cord.
I just got a set of Mcgard for the winter wheels on my Aspec (tirerack sent chrome nuts for anthracite wheels, not a good look). Not the same size as the Type S but the same style as the ones that you mention. Iāve had good luck with the Mcgard nuts lasting. The cheaper Amazon ones and the...
The OP has the Aspec-Tech, so 235 is the stock width. If you go with a summer only tire youāll have to park it for the 4 months of winter since the rubber compound is not designed to be used in under 40 degree weather. They do make an all season version of the pilot that should work in light...
Been using Blizzaks for years, Iāve used Michelin X-Ice several times and they seem just as good, but they werenāt available in the 215/50/17 size. The biggest obstacle this winter will be acclimating to front wheel drive again after driving Subarus for 10 years. Never had issues with front...
Yes, I got my snow tires today. I know itās early but tire rack tends to run out of wheel choices has the season goes on. I wanted a color similar to the stock Aspec color and there were only a few choices. I ended up with a Borbet wheel in anthracite. The style is very similar to stock...
I have both my Integra and my wifeās 2021 RAV4 coated with Ceramic Pro. I didnāt do the job myself, had a local detailer do the work. Very happy with the results, easy to keep the car clean. I take it in once a year for a refresh. Still have to wax the Miata every now and then.
Yup, I got this 3 weeks after I got the car. I took it in and they tested the battery and put it on a charger overnight. Since then all has been good. I attribute this to the car sitting on the lot from December to April and I was only driving it once or twice a week on short trips. After...
My last car was a Subaru Impreza, the more upright rear window would get covered quickly on sloppy days with a slush/salt mixture, so a rear wiper was a necessity if you wanted to see anything out the back. Iām not worried about rain, that should shed off with speed. Time will tell. I do...
Having owned mostly hatchbacks over the last 50 years they have always come with a rear wiper. So when I was taking a test drive I attempted to activate the rear wiper only to find that there wasnāt one. A little surprised since the Civic hatchback comes with a rear wiper. I suppose the...
Rev hang has been around for a while. My 1976 BMW 2002 had a dash pot on the carburetor to slow down the revs dropping. Easy solution, remove dash pot. Unfortunately itās buried in the electronics now and would require reprograming of the ECU.
I only have 1200 miles on my A Spec Tech CVT and have had no issues with the brakes. Even during break in there shouldnāt be any noises. It was lazy of the dealer/tech to just replace the pads and rotors and not dig into what is making the noise. If it still making a noise, albeit different...
I did let the dealer do all the DMV paper work and get the plates (NYS). But I always check my DMV account online to be sure that it actually got registered and check back in every now and then to make sure that the title gets sent to me. If given the chance the dealer will screw it up.
Does the Integra, well all Hondas, really use 5W30 weight transmission fluid? I ask because my Miata uses 75W90 GL4-5. Seems like a significant difference.
