  1. Help me decide, White Acura TLX PMC or Integra Type S?

It prevents the car from rolling backwards on a hill when you take your foot off the brake. You can think of it like using the handbrake to hold you in place while you get on the gas to get the car moving forward.
  2. Help me decide, White Acura TLX PMC or Integra Type S?

As someone who lives in SF, and who also did 4 years of 90 minute (one-way) commutes in LA up 405/101 in an STI with a heavy duty clutch, I have no sympathy ;). Did you Z have auto brake hold? My last few manual cars all had it (including the Integra) and it made going up the hills easy peasy.
  3. Ktuner for 2023 Integra is live!

No issues with traction. Seems like it's all clutch slippage. Even if it's a traction issue, the MPH vs RPM graph wouldn't be affected, because the wheels are still going to be spinning at the correct speed relative to the engine if there was no traction issues. The only way the engine will spin...
  4. Ktuner for 2023 Integra is live!

It would appear that my clutch indeed slips on the Starter 23 tune (not unexpected I should add). I did some datalogging today to see what kind of gains I could get with the OTS tunes. For illustrative purposes I replaced AFR with speed because there's no other way to chart speed on VD. You can...
  5. 2024 Integra Type S Officially Announced! + First Drive Reviews Inside!

Is that confirmed? It seems like it'd be kind of a waste of money for Honda to build a whole new roof just for the Type S rather than reusing the existing one.
  6. 2024 Integra Type S Officially Announced! + First Drive Reviews Inside!

Yeah, given that the CTR is pretty stripped down, and assuming this has Integra Tech features, it's gotta be at least a few thousand more than the CTR.
  7. 2024 Integra Type S Officially Announced! + First Drive Reviews Inside!

Yeah, the suede is a bit of of a PITA to keep clean, especially if you get Orchid. I'd rather have the fake leather from the rear seats than the suede.
  8. Acura Integra Type S spy shots! [Updated w/ pics showing wider fenders and triple exhaust tips]

Selfishly I'm OK (and even thrilled) with it being offered as a 6MT only. That way every single one they produce will be 6MTs instead of being diluted by production of an automatic version, which inevitably will make the 6MT harder to find and thus more prone to markups. I think it also makes...
  9. Acura Integra Type S spy shots! [Updated w/ pics showing wider fenders and triple exhaust tips]

The reason the S3 makes 10 less advertised horsepower is because it's using the carryover EA888 Evo3 engine whereas the new Golf R has the updated EA888 Evo4 engine. Unless Honda inexplicably decides to give the ITS the FK8 version of the K20C1 instead of the FL5 version, I would expect it to...
  10. Acura Integra Type S spy shots! [Updated w/ pics showing wider fenders and triple exhaust tips]

Considering it's FWD, I bet it's going to be like neither. However, I'm 100% sure it's going to be more fun and engaging to drive than all of its competitors, even if it's slower, strictly because it comes with a proper 6MT and not an AT.
  11. 2024 Integra Type S Officially Announced! + First Drive Reviews Inside!

Now to find a dealership willing to sell at MSRP...
  12. Finally figured out why my side mirror is often slightly low

I believe it's the same way to enable on for most Honda/Acuras: if you have the side mirror selector set to L or R, the corresponding side mirror will auto tilt down in reverse. If you keep it in the middle, it disables it.
  13. BLOWN INTEGRA MOTOR😟

Seriously, it was the automotive equivalent of a crack baby. Doomed as soon as they signed on the dotted line of the sales contract.
  14. Finally figured out why my side mirror is often slightly low

Ever since I’ve had the car I’ve noticed that the side mirror is often a bit lower than I remember setting it to. I figured it was related to the reverse auto-tilt feature, but couldn’t figure out why it wasn’t returning all the way back to the original position. Today I figured it out: after...
  15. What did you do to your Teggy today? 👨🏻‍🔧🧰🚿🛠

Interesting, I wonder why they didn't use the Si calipers. How did you like the RT660s? I had a set of RT615K+ I used as cheap track tires on an STI and thought they were pretty good for the price. They got a bit squirmy when hot, but at the time they were about half the price of the RE71s and...
  16. What did you do to your Teggy today? 👨🏻‍🔧🧰🚿🛠

Awesome to see it on the track! What kind of tires and wheels are you running? +1 on the brakes as well...even on backroads at 7/10ths mine faded pretty quick and turned to mush. I don't know if the Si/Integra got upgraded pads compared to the Civic, but it sure didn't feel like it did.
  17. What did you do to your Teggy today? 👨🏻‍🔧🧰🚿🛠

There's a "claw" on the top that slips into (and behind) the top seam of the panel, and then there's a second tab that slips into the seam at the bottom of the panel. There are some photos on their site that kind of shows how it looks...
  18. What did you do to your Teggy today? 👨🏻‍🔧🧰🚿🛠

If I could have bought the CTR at MSRP, I'd have gotten that instead of the Integra in a heartbeat. Unfortunately, the lowest ADM I've found in the entire state of CA after contacting nearly every single Honda dealership is $15K. The GR Corolla is another option, but I'm #14 on the waiting list...
  19. What did you do to your Teggy today? 👨🏻‍🔧🧰🚿🛠

I'm in the exact same boat; the Integra is a stop-gap, so I don't want to spend more than I have to, but I just couldn't stand the stock tires anymore.
  20. What did you do to your Teggy today? 👨🏻‍🔧🧰🚿🛠

Got the summer tires mounted. I’m starting to think 19” may be a bit much; the rubber band 35 profile tires just don’t look right proportionally on the car. Given a choice I would have rather stayed with 40 profile 18s but the extra set of wheels I had lying around were 19s.
