Pretty nice gains assuming that's still on premium.

Doug believes it to be on 91 octane. Ososik’s Si dyno’d almost the same numbers and he went through the dealer tank of gas and filled it with 91. Doug’s Si is still on the dealers tank of fuel but since numbers match it’s assumed to be 91.

For the numbers. Those are on a dynopak measuring at the hubs. After the SAE correction they use, it’s about 12% higher than a true roller dyno that gives you “wheel hp”.

So that tune equates to about 211whp and 231wtq on a traditional dyno. Pretty solid numbers. Especially when you look at how much fatter the curves are. Peak as usual doesn’t tell the whole story. I’m not a fan of how they tuned the tq though. It was all nice and flat up to 6k. Now it’s falling at 4K. Each shift will put you into a declining tq curve as opposed to a flat one. In order words, it won’t “feel” like it is pulling all the way to the redline anymore. It’ll feel more like the 10th gen.

It’s interesting because the last Si on that same dyno hit 200hp vs the 222 number.

And the 2022 normal civic 1.5 which Honda lists at 180 hits only 162 again on that same dyno. So the motor isn’t underrated in other platforms. 180 is accurate crank numbers. Yet this Si is and Honda should have listed it at around 240hp to be in line with how they normally do hp figures.

Doesn't seem right since the new car is NOT faster in real world tests.
The area under the curve my friend. More peak hp doesn’t equal faster. It does indeed have more peak. In fact Ososik’s hit 225hp right after hondata’s. But less down low. It’s tq curve is also a little less down low but flatter to 6k. The 10th gen starts dropping at 4K. In a race with a stock 10th gen, the 10th jumped ahead until 3rd/4th gear when the 11th pulled dramatically ahead.

Times in 0-60 and 1/4 mile are almost the same. But in the real world it is faster up top and the shape of the power makes it much more fun to drive.

Redline Reviews cameraman who’s a CTR owner did a 7 second flat 0-60 with their timer on the street. Best I’ve seen so far.
Man, a blistering .2-.4 faster than my 2000 Escort coupe. Crazy power there!

Idk about you guys. But this isn’t 2005 anymore. Or the 90’s. It’s been years since I got into a street race dig or roll. The market has changed and Honda is on the correct side here imo. Not may care about peak dyno queen numbers. And not may care about winning a straight line race.

And the people that do sure aren’t buying civics or integras. People want daily drivers that are fun and that the can take to autox on the weekends. And this Si nails that.

I love driving my wife’s 2021 sorento sx. It’s not fast. But damn is that motor and transmission fun. And the tech and comfort is excellent. Ppl like me are who the integra and Si is aimed at.
